i had to replace a timing gudie on my KA/E

I'd rather replace it every 60K miles then skip cam gears and fuck up valves... it's there for a reason, nissan put it there for a reason...

THEN they have recalls for shit that they shouldn't have put there in the first place.

This also affected 240s as well, but of course you think NISSAN is gonna say something? That would be more work and money they'd have to put into fixing it.

or the timing chain can flop around from forward and back and eat your timing chain cover slowly

id still rather have it on as a safety precaution

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say.

looking at a KA from the side view now. even if it has a tensioner, and it's tight the chain can move from side to side (side to side look at the KA from the side front and back on the front view.) it can rub against the front cover during braking and on the block during accleration.

something nissan overlooked? possibly. even if it's not that case I'd rather not take the chance.

i just fucking rebuilt the enitre fucking KA I'm not openning that shit up again.
