ka24 sputtering and jerking ONLY when cruising

So my ka started sputtering and jerking only when im cruising. When i half throttle or full throttle i get no sputtering. In other words only when im at a constant throttle it does this. I change the fuel pump and maf but same problem. If any one can help me out ...ill really appreciate that.
 
When you changed the fuel pump you changed TO A NEW PUMP and changed the sock too right? And made sure your gas tank isnt rusted to hell (assuming you have a s13)? AND changed your fuel filter ofcourse...

Also, what type of gas are you using? I had the exact same thing happen to me after I put in some indian gas station shit. Only Sunoco after that with new fuel pump and prob solved...
 
my car does the same, its an ignition problem, like check ur plugs and wires, or maybe ur timing is advnaced a little too far, and run 93oct and it wont happen as often, atleast with my car its that way lol

ok the car came with a walbro in it...everything was fine with the walbro the car drove ok till recently but i still went ahead n change it with a stock one..same thing...my tank is clean no rust...funny thing is when i change my fuel filter the car wouldnt start...so i put the old filter back in n it started..

Im using 93 n it from mobile 1

i have brand new plugs..maybe not even 4miles on them..i have ngk wires...i changed the ignition coil and same thing

when i disconnect the tps my idle goes up to like 2000rpm+...so idk if that means i have a bad tps

no then its working. but it could still be off a little. check for gas leaks since you said before. and timing

ok kool..but i got a question... in order for me to cheak my timing dont i need my idle to be at 650 or i think 750...i could be wrong though....i also dont have any gas leaks...no raw gas smell anywhere
 
Yea def not timing, more fuel related for sure.

Upgrade to 300zx fuel filter. Walbro def better than stock one... 93oct from a good gas station always. Change your spark plugs if they havent been changed in awhile.

Report back and let us know whats going on.

Oh, and if everything else is good and you still have prob, you should install aftermarket fpr and get your fuel pump rewired so you get 100% power to your pump.

Start with easiest shit first tho. New 300zx fuel filter, better gas etc.
 
check voltage to
fuel pump
ign coil
and dizzy..
check for codes...
check all the other stuff erybody said too....
or
pay me to fix it...:shady::shady::shady::shady:
 
Ok so u know how my car is having the exact same problem at the moment, i checked my coolant temp sensor (i think thats the one i looked at) and i pushed it inca little bc i noticed it was a little loose and my car started up great and drove it and no more sputtering , if i could upload a pic via iphone ,i took a Pic of the sensor i messed with, if anybody knows how to post a pic via iphone lmk

The sensor that is red is the one i looked at i think its the coolant temp sensor i Dont remember the name, unplugged it and made sure it was clean etc. and i put it back in and my car was fine again, hope this is helpful

ok guys i change the fuel pump AGAIN with a running one...same thing. I changed the fuel filter thats in the engine bay and in the tanks.....same thing. i even borrow a friend spark plug wires and same thing. I dont really know what it can be now. i notice that when i full throttle it breaks up less or not at all....but anything below like 80%-90% throttle i break up. Also it breaks up more when the motor is cold. You think it really can be the coolant temp sensor
