ka with ITB's soon? input greatly appreciated

so i bought an awesum deal of a car a couple months ago.
a ca18det hatch with sil front t28 pulsar turbo and megasquirt stand alone engine management system wired in for 2000.untuned.
i tuned the car it made 234 whp at 7 pounds, freakin amazing!
but then i spun a bearing the first night i took it out drifting becuase gaskets were leaking mass amounts of oil, and oil pressure gauge was umm not working.awesum. oh well.

ive already parted out the turbo/intercooler setup, and the spun bearing motorset has been sold as well. waiting to be picked up this wekend

ive been driving/sliding 240sxs for almost 4 years now, ive been thru 5 KA's as well over the years. i love beating the **** out of em. i even had a fully built motor get blown up becasue a heater core hose popped off when i was at an event,osw a couple years ago
i now have a hatch shell still wired with the megasquirt and i want to get back into a ka, not nessesarily ka-t, but KA with ITB's would be badass. ive done all the research, and i know you need a stand alone setup to run this.MEGASQUIRT V2 is holdin me down. and my car is wired with a EDIS ford escort ignition so sticking with a four banger would be perfect. plus i have one of the best tuners around for the job MARTIN at ZFEVER in tampa florida. ive got sources for all the gsxr parts and i cant wait to feel that NA KA 2.4 power again.
in the future i would like to start buliding a high comp ka bottom end with all head components eventually too. but its pretty badass blowing up a ka, and turning around a pickin up abnother running motor for 15-400 bux.

Besides the fact that my old ca18det got messed up, i really was not happy with the performance of the 1.8 t. not sure if it was becuase the t28 had too much lag or bc the motor had no PS, maybe im just not a tubro guy, but i want that truck motor dispalcement back ASAP. i love sliding a ka na. and with ITB's this ***** should be crazy responsive and shoot flames too lol. im only lookin for like 200hp for sliding so turbo wont be nessesary. discuss. SINK

-funk had a 170whp ka back in the day with just intake exhaust and enthalpy tune if im correct. i iwll be adding BC cams(stage 1 or stage2? not sure yet), bigger injectors, and of COURSE the individual throttle bodies for max response.

not sure exactly what all he's running, but he overbored to .06, wiseco 10.5 pistons,and thicker headgasket. not sure about fuel management, injectors, or cams tho.

im sorry but im starting to think your a complete idiot. you should have just rebuilt the CA and gotten the power steering attached. I remeber you saying it would only cost you about 300 or so to get the CA rebuilt. Also saying that blowing UP KA's is fun??? wtf is wrong with you.

whats wrong with blowing up kas? they are cheap and easy to put in i find it fun to blow them up lol

i respect your opinion, but i drove the CA, i HATED THE TORQUE CURVE. 1.8 has mad low torque, ive had more fun driving a KA no joke. turbo just isnt for me...for sliding. or shall i say LAG isnt for me. i like instant torque from NA motors in my experience. im very used to driving a ka with 130whp stock, 170-220 NA whp would be absolutely perfect for me.
hey if u think i fuct up, buy my CA right now b4 this guy comes and gets it from alabama next weekend for $250. tahnks for the input tho

i guess your an idiot too.... there is nothing cool about blowing up your motor if you have a motor that is "built" like he said one of them was.... that pretty much means you fail....


and to the OP it cost a hell of a bit of money to get 200hp.... if your a NA guy you would be best of droping in a small block like sas did in his supra. old small blocks are cheap and plenty of power

i think its 550 injectors, walbro, stage 2 BC's, AEM for fuel, its a cool idea but its ALOT of money. you figure AEM is like 1100 alone, plus cams 400 bucks thats boost right there SR or KA. not to mention the head work and the bitch it must be to tune all of that

not even including High comp pistions, conectiong rods, duel vavle spring set up... bla bla bla bla bla... oh and completly rebuilding a KA so you can start fresh and not kill your motor.... oh but wait... thats cool to do so never mind that

lets see, in 4 years ive blown up 5 ka's. $300x5=$1500 dropped so far in 4 years on ka's.
HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK IT COSTS TO FULLY BUILD A KA? $3-4000 easy.

u be the judge. it takes me about a day to source and install a ka too. no gay intercooler piping or oil lines to worry about either.
and another question SPECTATOR (lol), if you built a ka for 3-4000 thousand ok, then what? its obviously gonna be ka-t, so then u gotta buy all that ka-t shit, thats another 1000 or 1500, plus tune, another 500 bux...by then your in a motor that u jsut spentalmost $5000. and u got 225-250 reliably whp.
im gonna be at 200-225 na, with about $1,000 bux more into my car. THE WHOLE REASON IDECIDED TO DO THIS SETUP was bc i already have an existing stand alone engine management system. u have to have this to run itb's.
plus FUCK LAG, that shit aint for me. instant torque and a smooth torque curve is where its at for drifting :)

ps- oooo im so offended that you called me a spectator.... haha... i have just finally completed my rebuild of my car and still have one other issue that is keeping me from participating a event, so before you start talking shit about being a drifter or not think about what your going to say.

oh and here's another secret: SOHC ka24e pistons are 11:1 and they can be used in a ka24de motor. thats alot of money saved right there, plus i WONT NEED aftermarket rods bc im only going for 200whp, you can cryo treat stock 240 rods and hit 400 reliably. so thats like $1,000 bux saved right there kid on internals, ive got guys/friends to do the labor/rebuild with SOHC pistons, new bearings, oil pump, etc cheap as fuck too :)

they arent 11:1.... it will bring you up to 10:1 and sure you could cryo the stock rods... i am sure that they would be fine with that... but as for using stock pistions you will have the same if not worse issue that turbo'ing a stock KA would with the ring landings... but what do i know i am only a spectator.... oOOooOOo

you kinda make a point. but if you putting 5gs into a KA 250 is not what your getting, thats what budget builds will get you. let me give you an example

KA - $300
Arias Pistons & Rings - $600
JE Rods - $400
JGS T3 Mani - $350
IC Kit - $350
Turbo - $300
lines, fittings etc - $200
downpipe, exhaust, wastegate $500
550cc injecotrs and top feed rails - $400
Labor and machining $1000
tune - $300
misc (couplers, bolts fluids) - $200

thats $4900 dollars and i dont see why you cant make 400 with that
