so i bought an awesum deal of a car a couple months ago.
a ca18det hatch with sil front t28 pulsar turbo and megasquirt stand alone engine management system wired in for 2000.untuned.
i tuned the car it made 234 whp at 7 pounds, freakin amazing!
but then i spun a bearing the first night i took it out drifting becuase gaskets were leaking mass amounts of oil, and oil pressure gauge was umm not working.awesum. oh well.
ive already parted out the turbo/intercooler setup, and the spun bearing motorset has been sold as well. waiting to be picked up this wekend

ive been driving/sliding 240sxs for almost 4 years now, ive been thru 5 KA's as well over the years. i love beating the **** out of em. i even had a fully built motor get blown up becasue a heater core hose popped off when i was at an event,osw a couple years ago
i now have a hatch shell still wired with the megasquirt and i want to get back into a ka, not nessesarily ka-t, but KA with ITB's would be badass. ive done all the research, and i know you need a stand alone setup to run this.MEGASQUIRT V2 is holdin me down. and my car is wired with a EDIS ford escort ignition so sticking with a four banger would be perfect. plus i have one of the best tuners around for the job MARTIN at ZFEVER in tampa florida. ive got sources for all the gsxr parts and i cant wait to feel that NA KA 2.4 power again.
in the future i would like to start buliding a high comp ka bottom end with all head components eventually too. but its pretty badass blowing up a ka, and turning around a pickin up abnother running motor for 15-400 bux.
Besides the fact that my old ca18det got messed up, i really was not happy with the performance of the 1.8 t. not sure if it was becuase the t28 had too much lag or bc the motor had no PS, maybe im just not a tubro guy, but i want that truck motor dispalcement back ASAP. i love sliding a ka na. and with ITB's this ***** should be crazy responsive and shoot flames too lol. im only lookin for like 200hp for sliding so turbo wont be nessesary. discuss. SINK
-funk had a 170whp ka back in the day with just intake exhaust and enthalpy tune if im correct. i iwll be adding BC cams(stage 1 or stage2? not sure yet), bigger injectors, and of COURSE the individual throttle bodies for max response.

here's a dyno from fresh alloy of pretty much the first guy to ever make over 200whp na ka. check out how smooth that torque curve is
not sure exactly what all he's running, but he overbored to .06, wiseco 10.5 pistons,and thicker headgasket. not sure about fuel management, injectors, or cams tho.
