ka twin cam help plz

i have solved the maf problem...i think lol
but its still givin me this problem...
i give it gas goin down the road and it doesnt move at all, like no acceleration wat so ever, it might hav to do with the maf but im not sure, anyway, it dies after 4k rpm and gets really raspy, i was told it could be the distributer?

.... this is my daily and its pissin me off lol

any suggestions?

sounds like the cam timming is off if it feels like it has no power.(timming chain jumped) unless you have a cylinder not firing at all you will get the same effect.pull the plugs out and make sure there all firing. if there all good pull the valve cover off and make sure the timming marks on the cam gears line up where they should when you spin the motor around. as far as the maf problem goes just buk a couple from the junk yard till you get a workin one. also check the guts in the distributor, cap and rotor could be done also.

its not a missfire, i was told it was possibly a bad distributer, the maf- i fixed today...i also noticed the timing looks to be a lil "retard", should i advance the timeing a lil?

Check your spark plugs and if you see any soot or irregularities just buy new ones.
Solved my problem recently.
 
where is the timming retarded at? the ditributor or the cam gears? if the timming is incorrect on the cams it will run like asshole. the distributor wont cause it to feel like it can barely run even if it was fully retarded it would still go just with a lazy resposnse. check the timming put the #1cylinder at TDC and check cam timming if ethier cam is off by one or more teeth whether there reatard or advanced it will struggle to run. still sounds like the intake cam is retarded to me with the syptoms you say to have.

try and advance ur timing it might be a little more responsive. but remember its a ka thats beat to shit so its not gonna run amazing. u might have fouled out spark plugs or somethin because all the oil ur burning

im not expecting it to run amazing i jus want all the power so wen im sliding it wont catch grip
