dude... that top chain guide was in a service to be removed. also i would just take your oil pan off... get some strong degreser and degreese and hose down your motor put the oil pan bcak on oil her up and go. im sure you will rinse out some debrie and will help the motor out alot.

no it wont fuck anything up doing that. i have done it to plenty of cars... just make sure you run some air through it to help get rid of water, and do an oil change about 200 miles or so after and you will be good. you can also do the tranny fluid flush thing but i dont have a link for that... so you can google that. doing either of these will help clean that motor out and help keep it from blowing.

it COULD be bent valves (fixable but not cheap) mine did the same shit b4

when i bought it he said that his timing chain had snapped, but to me it looks good. its nice and tight, all i see is like if a piece of the block ripped off and got grinded. look at picture # 3 you see the middle by those to bults, and i think that whats on my finger picture # 5..... ill remove the oil pan and ill wait till you get back to springs and i guess well flush this bi*ch down and try to get her started.

Have some one crank the engine with the valve cover off and try to listen and look around and see what you find (get ready for a oil shower, it's not that bad). If you really can't can't get an idea of where the noise is coming from, fuck it / try fishing all the metal particles you can get with a magnet. Oh and while your in there look up how to remove the 2 chain guides you don't need(one of your's went poof). Then drop the pan, clean it up good and look to see any signs of damage. Slap her back on with a magnetic oil drain plug. Buuuuuut it sounds like there is a under-lining cause to why she won't start........ check compression (if low do a cylinder leak down test) GOOD LUCK!

edit* sorry for writing everything in a fucked up order. Start with the easy and work from there!

thanks bro

Let me know what happens, PM me and let me know, if you have any question I'll try to answer them the best I can. I think that engine can be saved it will just not last as long (bearings). Once you figure out if you have a mechanical failure (bent valve, something in the valve train I assume) or some silly thing you over looked to get her running I would change the oil a lot sooner than you would normally would a couple times and try to get as much of that crap out of there you can but to be honest be prepared to get a new motor in a couple years. (I talk to damn much when I drink! lol) blah blah blah ONce again GOOD LUCK
