this is for my buddy:

I have a MSII and if anyone has a good running ignition map i would like to take a look at it. I got mine running but think it could be better. I know it depends on boost, but am really trying to smooth out my idle and light throttle areas. Thanks.
 
he thinks he solved the problem (not the timing... well not his map):

he's gonna get the new software and modify his optispark; apparently people have problems using the crank angle sensor from the stock distributor- has too much resolution.

the better way is to use the one that bolts to the crank pulley and has the magnetic pickups with individual coils- but he had already bought a coil, wires, and new distributor and doesn't want to scrap all of that.
