Ka drops a cylinder?

From time to time my car(91 240sx se) likes to drop a cylinder. I took it to a shop and they said its beacause one of the injectors was not sealed correctly via o-rings I guess. Got the car back from the shop and it ran and drove perfectly for about 2 weeks. Now the car likes to drop a cylinder every now and then. I can feel it and hear it the car shakes badly at idle and sounds like a damn harley. Any ideas of other things that may be causing this I'll try to post a video of it to explain more. Any input is well appreciated.

Also I'd like to add that when I bought the car(2-3 months ago) it ran and drove perfectly even pulled hard for a stock KA. I then compression tested it and the next day the problem started.

well the first thing i would do is recheck my work, recheck wires to make sure they are attached correctly. make sure the plugs are tightened, then check your injectors and connections to the injectors. also check the seals on the injectors and when re installing make sure you lube your seals with white lithium grease or injector lube.

next to a starbucks at sheridan an flamingo blvd.

ima go and check in the garage and make sure I
have it so you dont waste a trip, BRB

ok I got it :bigthumbu

you probably have a plug wire that is not keeping a good connection or god frobid maybe you left a plug loose or something.....check everything you did and when it gives you the problem check the wires like push down and wiggle them to be sure everything is still a ok

They are brand new wires but then again today when it was doing it I took each plug wire off and put it back on before moving to the next and it stopped...

Yeah thats kinda a drive out there. Especially with the car doing this when it pleases.

Remove all plugs, check plug gap... Make sure all connections on your dist and all 4 plugs are good... If the problem stays, pull your injectors and start that way...

Well I pulled the injectors when the problem first started and some of the o-rings were cut up so i replaced them I heard something about the cam positioning sensor so i'll test the voltage going to that

I did find a hose with a slice in it maybe its the problem?

thats most likely it...i had the two hoses separate where they meet from the connector and i thought i blew the motor the way it was driving and idling..i almost started crying:ugh:

Ok so I fixed the hose and that wasnt the problem. I decided to take a multi meter to all my injector harness clips(the part that plugs into the injector) and one of them isnt receiving power... so where should i go from here?

take the fuel rail off but leave the fuel lines connected, try and start the car but have a friend start it will you hold the rail up and away and watch the spray pattern. probably going to be number 3 injector.

if your not getting power to any one certain injector you should check for continuity from the PCM to the injector and if there are no opens in that wire then replace the PCM.:bigthumbu

or you could come over my house and i could stick in my noid light in the contector and check it that way. i live on lantana and the turnpike

my car was doin ther same thing on cylinder 1 all i did was change the injector an now it works fine

I changed the injector that it was originally cutting out but now the problem moved to another cyl?
