Does anyone know what could be wrong with my tach. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just goes crazy.

Is there anything I can check besides replacing the entire cluster?
 
wen i put the km/h cluster it was doing the same thing for the first few days that i put it... then it just stopped all on it's own and works perfectly fine.
 
check for a loose ground and check harness in trans tunnel to make sure its not being pinced anywhere, also just maybe your vss is going bad but thats just a thought!

A VSS? What would that have to do with the TACH?
 
yeah sorry about the vss statement relized after i posted i ment check tach wire going to cumputer for any shorts or nip/cut wires
