Intake Manifold

    All ready guys... I have done the EGr removal on my car the whole enchilada......I put in a egr block off plate and then I put everything back on the car...Started her up and started fine except for some bad idling like wnating to turn off...I pressed on the gas and either it struggled to stay on or just turn off......Well then i found the culprit....I have an actuator on the intake manifold that controls the 4 butterflies in the manifold. That actuator wasn't getting enough vacuum from anywhere to open the butterflies up evertime I stepped on the gas but when I opened up the butterflies manually with my left hand and my right hand with the accelrator cable the car wouldn't turn off and run normal......
I just rmeoved the intake manifold. Am i suppose to remove that actuator also? If i do what do I use to keep the butterfiles open? Is it safe? Do I have a different option? Am I doing something wrong?

I took the actuator off and made a braket to the butterflies are open all the time, but now i wish i just totally took out the butterflies, they just take up air space in the manifold. besides i dont think gutting a cat or taking out the butterflies makes anymore power in a ka, or maybe 1hp...?head work and cams are KEY on n/a ka's

just like posted above since you took off the manifold remove the acutator and complete remove the butterflys with a phillips screwdriver(dont forget the screw that holds it to the manifold) and remove the bar out of the manifold, replace intake with an oem paper gasket and your good to go!!!!!!!

OK guys the car is running...I only have one problem now....I am here a clicking noise from the top part of the engine. Reminder I did remove the complete egr system. I just started hearing the clicking noise today and dont know what it is????

yes..........valve lash maybe, time for an adjustment. are u sure its from the head? because ticking noise can also be an exhaust leak

The time chain sound more like a knock and its more consistent. what i am hearing is a clicking sound out of the top of the motor.....

cleanest way to get rid if the butterflys is to use a s14ka upper half, and the lower half with all the sensors and such from the s13 ka or whatever your rocking out now. no holes to worry bout filling in, and the butterflys are completely removed.
