if you weld, read this *welding safety*

oooh dayuummm good thing when i breathed that brake cleaner i set on fire in there was no argon present, cuz i prolly woulda been fucked up.

lol, i cant tell you the number of times ive done that, i wont be doing it again.

The worst is trying to weld something that is galvanized or cadmium plated, that shit really messed me up.

Thats way bad. Also welding w/ or w/o argon on galvanized metal can produce a similar poisonious gas unless it is acid washed. You just have to be extra careful.

The best thing to do that noone does is to wear a respirator mask like the ones used in painted but ones made for welding to avoid the regular fumes associated with welding that cause all kinds of problems.

they sell resperators that fit under the mask?
I have suffers the stupid welding fumes before thank is goodness I never use solvents like carb and brake cleaner, the most I use is denatured alchol and that evaporates rather quickly

hell, ive had to start welding outside, whenever i welded in the garage or somewhere there wasnt good airflow, i would feel sick for the whole day almost.

When I read this all I could think of was the shitload of brake cleaner you used when welding the diff for me lmao

if you search you can find one

I seriously appreciate this post. I have welded a ton of things after cleaning with brake cleaner and also welded lots of galvanized and plated stuff.

Ive noticed feeling crappy sometimes after welding but never correlated it.

Definitely will make me think in the future.
