There was never a FWD drifter in D1. There are rules against anything other than RWD. That car did exhibition runs while touring w/ Formula D.
thats what i thought to on my way home from class now. they dont even reconginze fwd cars as drift cars.... i think that says enough.

go check out the d1 street legal video from sekia hills on stage6.com. dude has an eg hatch and initiates with a nice feint and only uses the ebrake for corection. i'm not really a fan of fwd drifting, but it certainly is possible.

Chuck Norris invented automoviles as a way of transportation, but then he discovered he was able to fly, so now he doesnt drive....

Just like all those people who have seen UFO's, They are all wrong, thats just Chuck Norris Playin Xtreme Frisbee

That Element has been HEAVILY modified. It is RWD and has a transversely mounted engine like a RWD car. That's why you see smoke.

Miami_drifter, he's Japanese, not Chinese. Are you Mexican because you speak spanish? Cubans, dominicans, mexicans, colombians all the same? Chinito/Chino is ignorant. And most Japanese people don't even own a car, let alone know how to drift. Don't stereotype man.

I would have thought the civic video ended this debate. You can drift fwd, it's probly a lot harder and more expensive but it can be done. What I wana see is the flat spots on the guys rear tires...

Dont Elements come with an AWD option? So i dont think it might be too, extensively modified. Though it wont be cheap, they may have done the same thing ( or somthing similar) to that element of the Mitsubishi Evo Lancer in Tokyo Drift. (even though half of it was animated...)

Which brings another question... did the people who made that evo just disable front end and stability/traction control systems, or did they do something else? Besides the suspension work of course...
