I need to rebuild my engine...

So i got a 96 ka24de turbo. I want to change the pistons/rods/cams/water pump/oil pump to get better performance and hopefully have my car more reliable. Any shops that will do this that you guys recommend? What type of pistons/rods would you guys get? Im looking to hopefully go over 350hp.
Thanks in advance.

its fairly easy to do - buy a spare head and block and rebuild it before u rip ur car apart - it really isnt rocket science but If you have never done this before it may SEEM overwhelming - Try Steffan @ STP Motorsports in Davie - Great Guy - Give em a buzz

As far as pistons Pistons 2 good companies are CP or Wiseco and for Rods - Eagle or Crower (Im sure there are a few other great brands out there tho)

I personally own the CP/Eagle Combo (Great Quality/Performance)

thing is i dont have space to have an engine in my house lol. So i'll have to buy all the parts first and take it to a shop. How much are you putting down with your setup? They'll have to bore it out as well right? sorry if i sound ignorant but never done this before.

rb/sr done

im commited to make a reliable KA. i've thought about doing an rb swap but decided to stick with my KA.

Im gettin CP pistons, eagle rods, new timing belt, water pump, cometic head gasket, arp studs/bolts and oil pump...am i missing something for this build?
thank you.

Sorry for the late reply - Im putting down 330 @ 15Psi with a half dead fuel pump that was screaming like a jail bitch on the dyno :D lol

Boring the block is only nessessary if you have damaged cylinder walls or want to go with a bigger piston - Not nessessary - some re-honing and checking for any warped surfaces should be suffice if you have a good block

Niether have I prior to my build - its cakework homie - dont be afraid to ask questions and do research - all the answers are on the interwebs - goodluck

Yo what ive learned is that Almost any machine shop can do the work for you - goin to some race shop is just a waste of money for the standard stuffs ya dig - But hit up Steffan @ STP or stop by - hes a good dude and he'll point you in the right direction as far as machining or even engine assembly (which he is good @)

Alright i'll do that, thanks for all the info bro, you've been a great help. I already talked to pablo, sent you a pm with the reason why.

If your intrested il pull your motor and tear it down aqnd reinstall it you can pick your machine shop though. You know where my shop is.

I can build that engine for you I also have a spear one if your interested & ka's don't have timing belts they have timing chains

ur best bet is to search ka-t.org. ive searched there. and seen people with amazing builds there! tons of reviews on parts which can help you decide gl

IDK if anybody mention this but u can probably try mazworks ive heard there good. i have a friend buying a $3000 sr built for 700hp
