:confused: I need some help...I am a rookie at this so please bare with me.......How do I know what LSD will fit my car? I hear that the Infiniti J30's fits perfectly but then again I see the ones being sold on Ebay and they are talking about 6 half screww and stuff like that on the Differential.......Which I do not understand at all what they mean by that six hole thing........To finish it off I have a '91 240sx SE model which I all ready had LSD in it when I bought it but the humming noise it's doing is getting unbearable........ :confused:
 
That humming noise is the ring & pinion gone bad. Its happen to my first VLSD. The easiest thing for you to do is find another S13 VLSD since it will fit perfectly. But you can also get the J30 VLSD or the Z32 VLSD. But with these VLSD's you will need to change the back blate so they will bolt up to your S13. Also you will need diffrent axles unless you get the 95 and up J30 VLSD. But if you use the Z32 or 94 and down J30 VLSD all you need are the J30 axles and everything will fit perfectly.
 
aight quick lesson.
92-94 jo you need the 5 bolt axles to go with them(what i have in my car right now)
95-95 bolts right in no need to change axles
90-96 na z32 you need the j30 5 bolt axles.
also with any of these you WILL need to change the covers off the back. also you Will need to get the original bolts and washers that the car had because they are like an inch longer than the s13 bolts. dont forget about the washers or the diff will fall outa your car.
 
Yup I have been pwned... damn its been a while. Okay I should stop claiming I know anything about 240's
