Sorry guys, I am new to the sport and trying to catch up.....I Have fully buil a show car and am one of the main guys of Team Rezurrection (Street Stylez).....We have a couple of guys that do Auto cross but none that does drifting...Im the first thanks to my nephews.....One thing I must hand off I never knew how fun drifting can be...I went yesterday and tore up my car.....Let's just say I finish off every time with an 180 spin and a one timer 360 spin.....LOL......One thing I know for a fact from building my show car is to never go cheap or go to expensive and with that in mind I have about 30k invested into my show car which has me as one of the elite show cars in Miami in my category....( www.cardomain.com/id/alemus3 ) Page 8) I am still shopping around for suspension and found these but dont know if if they are any good? Are you seriously contemplating drifting an FF car?? I love the zx2, as a previous scort owner, but just not for drifting. I am 90% sure (untill i google it) that ALL Escorts are FWD. I am sure someone else will further explain what I am trying to get at.

Read up on drifting.
http://streetracing.tiora.net/japan/drift/drift1.htm

That should explain to you why you cant drift an Escort, even an extremely nice one. (+99999 for the EVO3 bumper.)

Well dont go thinking that you can't drift a FF... If im not mistaken it can be done. E-Brake and weight transfer are all thats really needed but i personally wouldn't drift a show car. Hit the wall and all your hard earned time and money go down the drain. FR's are essential drift cars. Personal Sudgestion, park the show car and get an FR.

LOL.....Hold up....I aint that crazy...lol......My show car is a show car...I bought myself a 91 240sx SE for drifting and I can't complain about it since I all reday tried drifting with it and it's fun.....very fun......I just have that lil problem of flooring the gas pedal at the end which makes me finish up with a 180 or a 360.......I am a rookie at it so keep it easy on me.....So about those suspensions I found on the links I left on the first post......

Oh, lol. That makes a hella lot of difference. Congrats on the 240. What is the difference between normal and SE? The one I am seeking to purchase is not SE, is this good or bad?

Well I am not a know it all and a beginner in other words i am still crawling but what i have been told and seen is that the SE model comes with a bigger engine and the biggest cams and that it comes with LSD.

Oh, Dayumm! It is almost drift ready!1! All you need are tie rods for the front end... (IMO thee back ones are less usefull)

.....ok, just cuz its an se, doesnt mean it has lsd, the motor is the same also, 91 had better cams, u dont NEED tie rods, wut u do need is some kind of shock/spring combo or coilovers, some think its a waste of mney getting shocks and springs, cuz eventually ur gonna end up buying coilovers, but, i think ur better off learning, little by little, with shox n springs, tc rods are nice, for braking and stiff ness, then tie rods, for angle and steering stiffness, sway bars, but first, a shock and spring combo, go on ebay, buy n intake should help a little, advance the4 timing, and get an exhaust, should be enough power to learn, orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr buy my car and have all u need right there

wow, someone told you wrong big time. the se only came with different wheels for s13\s14. different lug patturn for s14, different interior scheme options, power accessories, sunroof. Nothing performace wise changed.

the only 240s that came with a vlsd factory were the ones that have ABS. The s13 has a hicas model that had a vlsd factory also, which im pretty sure had abs.

0o0o and master rex, dont think the first peice of information you see posted in a internet message board is absolutly true, as a matter of fact dont belive it until you have seen atleast 2 other sources that claim the same thing. unless these random facts have proper supporting researched information links of sort. FSM pages and other bs.

btw, buy m4nfreds car, you wont have to do anything else.

Yea.... I heard the word gullable wasn't in the dictionary...

*sigh

Ok..This is what my car has so far since I bought it....the car does have ABS and I did check out if it has LSD and it looks like it is in perfect condition since it has about 14 years on it so i changed the fluid. The car has a DC strut bar in the engine bay and in the hatch with a Arospeed full exhaust......
So far this is what i have bought for the car: Injen CAI, Nismo seats, Nismo shift knob w/ boot, NIsmo pedals, Nismo resoivor covers, OBX radiator hoses, OBX headers w/ hi flow cat, nismo radiator cap, nismo oil cap, Magnecor Wires, Nismo Oil catch can, Nismo steering wheel w/ hub, Nismo floormats, engine damper, Brembo drilled and slotted rotors w/ HAwk performance pads, Red powerdoated valve cover....
I know this is alot of stuff but I am a guy that if I dnt feel comfortable in the car and change the car into my taste and make the taste of the previous owner not be there any more I drive and feel better in it.....In other words make the car fit my character than the previous owner......Now about that suspension can I get some recommendations of which ones I should get and from where....please!!!!!!!!!! Thank you......

On the suspension departament I will have to say that will be up to you, the way you drive, where you drive (daily) and how much money do want to invest.
I would recommend like I always do, start drifting your car with what it has, get good tires, you have a SE model, so it's all good.
Anyways I would start with Megan Racing in the cheap/ Stage I/ street driven departament.

Even better question, why did you outfit your car on eBay? To be a little more harsh, it sounds like you just copied the search results.

Ease off on the mods and drive the nuts off your car. Learn what you can while the car is stock, then upgrade when you are able to outdrive your car. Most of what you have wont really help you out. The money you have spent could have been used for better performance parts.

As for suspension, a shock/spring combo is great to start out with. Coilovers are overrated, and you dont have the need for such stiff spring rates so early in the game.

^^^What he said^^^ except for the harsh part.

NEX are like springs with a steel rod in the middle. Actually, heard they took a beating. Only complaint was the build.

Are all those Nismo parts real ? Cause it looks like u just got all that stuff from ebay.
