Even though I am a registered republican I don't really care what party is in control, Party doesn't really matter anymore its like choosing between coke and pepsi they are essentially the same.
Although I am excited that certain people won their races and I hope they will be effective in what they have set out to do.

This could not be further from the truth.
No one can deny that yesterday was a vote against obama and his ultra liberal 2 year experiment in class warfare and socialism. President obama and his democrat house and congress has time and time again done things agianst the will of the people. From obama care to stimulus spending.
There are states that went republican last night that havent gone republican since the 1890s, not to mention that this is was the largest majority swing in 50 years.
Last night we sent a message to the democrats and republicans, do your job, listen to the people or we will fire your ass.
i wont lie. i dont know too much about politics but i do hope that everything gets better. i hope this change i good.

Reganomics is what Clinton benefitted on when the economy was growing because it was a plan that was going to take ten years to prosper to reap the benefits. Dems are spenders and and so are Reps but the deficit wasnt 10-12 trillion when Bush left the office. Japan was in a bad way in the 90's and tried to spend their way back into prosperity and it didnt work and that is exactly what Obama did with the stimulus. Obama went after the uninformed vote by going to college campuses and speaking a good line. Last night was a stand to prove that people want work to get done in Washington and not this special intrest group crap that puts the majority to the wayside. Pork spending and shoving socialists medicine healthcare (europe as example) is always a good thing right?! Obama cant even talk without a teleprompt or cue cards.

Im not sure who your talking about bush or obama here because last i checked obama has spent just as much as bush if not more in the long term.
pretty damn loud and clear if I might add. republicans took over 6 seats in the senate while democrats lost 6. and the house was a HUGE sweep.
I've never seen anything like it, they gained around 60 seats I believe.
And of course things will change.
The system of checks and balances is still in place last time I checked, and when you have a majority that large of conservatives, you're going to get conservative ideas and bills that will pass.
