Same goes for rock. I think most modern rock is garbage. But kids seem to love it.

nope, i'm pretty sure it just sucks, lol. music, up untl a few years ago, still meant something, wether it was rock, rap, hip-hop, etc. now everything is so teeny, i cant stand it.

if you look at rock from a muysic standpoint, it now sux. everything is the same...all these emo bands know 3 power chords and they think they can call themselves a band. look back just a few years and you'll see bands like SOAD, slipknot, and metallica (before st.anger) who actually had skill and could do stuff that NOBODY else sounded like or could even com close to.

and on the note of hip-hop...i really believe that kanye west is probably the ONLY rapper out now who has ANY skill whatsoever...and maybe lupe fiasco

Those bands were bought out right after their first albums. Except for metallica. Metallica sold out after "and justice for all" after that you could hear their music slow down and become more mainstream. Load and reload suck balls. It's all about megadeth anyways....

i have to disagree on that. SOAD's sound changed just like any band will, as did metallica. the only album i can say was really bought out was st. anger. if anything, Slipknot was made more mainstream after their self-titled cd
 
Don't mind me I hate all those bands. Metallica's alright. Bands sound will change but very few albums are as intense and unique as a bands first album because the producers will fuck things up. Getting back on track, at least Travis Barker jumped on such a horrible song and covered it. Someone needs to shoot soulja boy.

yea, thank god for xm radio. ive turned to the modern rap channel once for like 2 minutes and i couldnt take that shit. rap is garbage now days. thats why i listen to jazz, classical, and j pop.

I live in the keys, and if I ever see jimmy buffet in person anywhere, Im gonna throw a margarita thru his freakin skull. No one can suck any worse...

and I cant say that soad later albums suck, but any artist is not going to sound the same album from album. At least they didnt suck from the beginning like the shite this thread is about!
