I F'd up big time help!!!

me too lol. anybody know the exact gauge size? LOL might as well extend them and tuck the fuse box lol

yea on the shell i got the whole chassis harness is under my dash, but iam re doing the entire wiring on my car and running everything i need to toggel switchs on the dash so i wont have to worry about any wiring on my car anymore

Appreciate the help fellas. I can always count on sfldrifters.com for accurate and precise technical support...

and bullshit talking.. lol:bigthumbu

I was being sarcastic lol.

So i estimated the damage and this is the deal:

20 wires got owned

2 are thick.

1 is semi thick red/blue

and the rest are thin.

I will be buying some wire today and soldering these bitches. Then heat wrapping them. It should be fun. If I can pull this off, I'll start tucking fuse boxes.

take the harness out and give it to me, i will fix it for u. dumbass

LOL. It's fairly simple to fix when it's on my car. It would be a pain to take out the entire body harness. It reaches over my fender so if anything I'll do it while on the car

dude.

DONT DO ANYTHING!...yet.

Get a friend or read a book man, your in deep.

IF it were me i would extend the wires with the same gauge wire, and triple check before soldering anything, also on that note, I would learn to solder.

edit: just read pg #2 lol, ur on the right track.

Yeah well my friend is going to help me solder. It shoudln't be that difficult. I will use the same gauge wire, however, I don't see what would be the problem if I use a slightly thicker gauge? I'm uploading more pics now.

haha thank you sir for giving me a good laugh

Not cool bro...

So I'm cutting my intercooler holes and little do you know it; BAM! my saw slips and cuts half of my body harness off. This is the harness that runs to the passenger side fuse box. Question is, should I just connect them together and heat wrap them or buy a new body harness from the j yard? I would have to extend some of the wires since I cut on an angle. Does the thickness of the wire matter? Please, any input would be greatly appreciated.

thats fixable, patience, new cable, heat shrink, soldering gun, and new loom and it comes out priceless, and you dont have to go through the hassle of changing the harness, as thats the one for the front body of the car...

Yes sir you're right. I'm gonna hit up the hardware store, get the right gauge wire, some, heat shrink tubing, and a solder. I have no engine in the bay so I'll go a ahead, throw a beach chair in the bay, mount an umbrella and get my solder on. I'll be doing this tomorrow so I'll post pics up of my final work. Thanks again for the input fellas.

not a problem, if you ever need some sort of advise, this is the place to look for it, make sure you pack some beers next to the beach chair and call it a picnic in your hood, lol... hope everything works out great man...

its a big hole and he got rid of the rust so i can see why he cut it that big. i am going to say about 70% of 240s have a massive amount of rust in that location
