So i got a Powered by Max hand brake that has Earl's SS lines. I installed it pretty quickly. probably not the best way but it will work. I'll get a pic of how i have it running through the fire wall later today. My only issue i have so far is that i don't like that the SS line coming out of the master cylinder goes right towards the Manifold. Maybe if it wasn't an aftermarket mani it wouldn't get so close to it. I need to figure out what parts i need to put a 90 degree in there.

A hydraulic ebrake is necessary in CA because you have a lot of steep hills to park in.

Good call.

it's not a ebrake.....E is for emergencies. like when you lose all you brake fluid. And its not a parking brake either. I have a E/parking brake for all those steep hills. Its a Handbrake. Get it right.

ps.You know you want to move here.

i always thought ur so supposed to tap in to the brake line for the rear calipers not into the actual master cylinder

....

Anyway, that brake line is a tad too close for comfort. Boiling brake fluid for sure.

cool, im still trying to find the time to install mine, I got a buddy of mine cutting a bracket that im going to try to weld together tomorrow if all goes well. Since I have to work tomorrow and maybe sunday too

first gravity bleed then you have to press the brake pedal, crack both rear bleaders then hold the handbrake up, and close both bleeders. do it about 10 times it will be ok

holy crap yeah i just noticed thats almost touching and with some motor twisting from romping the throtle it will touch... man put a 90 there at the Brake cylinder thats scary

i dont even understand how that is a acceptable kit to be selling. I would email those clowns some pics of that line and say wtf.

all u need is a -3an female to male fitting and ur good.

I wanted to get the metric to -3an 90 and get rid of the fitting that going into the BMC. but can't find one so I guess i'll be doing what you suggested.

So i removed the 90 on the handbrake master and moved it too the BMC. its about 1.25 inches away now compared to .25. still wish i could find a -3an 90 to metric adapter. It would give me another .75 inch.

still having issues bleeding it.

well i just found out why it gets so close to the manifold. on the USDM S13 you should run the lines to the passenger side union not the BMC like in the RHD cars.

^ get it bled out yet? did you bench bleed the ebrake while it was out of the car? or atleast unbolted so you can move it around get all the air out of it?
