hello brother and sisters. im here today with a :confused:

ok. ima b doing a RHD conv on an s13.

i got the whole front clip.

no im not gona weld the whole thing in place.
i wana do the simple way.
i got every single part from the shifter to the bumper.

now.

can i just cut out the firewall and weld the new one in place.?>

whats the actual process. is there any websites with pics or anything>?

any shops here in miami that will do it for cheap?>

any imput will be highly apreciated. :bigthumbu

actually.. that is the process buddy.. u never wanna chop ur body up and remove the whole front..

u take the firewall out and weld in the RHD one, maybe jg auto can do it..

Yeah... Jorge at JG Auto was the one who did my RHD swap and came out perfect... Hes done a few now and all of the ones that i have seen from him have looked awsome... Good luck...

what is the legal status on haveing a rhd on an us car.

do i have to get a permit or a license or. what?> will the cops fuk with me for having one?>
 
Really to be honest i dont remember the cost... But they are located like 2 min away from JDM of Miami... 122 St and 129 CT... The best thing will be to give them a call to get directions depending were you are coming from...There number is 305-259-9702....

As far as cops and shit like that they have never told me anything or checked my vins or nothing like that... MOst of the times is funny when they approach your car from the wrong side and stare at the dashboard...

it shouldnt be expensive at all if u take everything out your self and put it back together there just taking out your old fire wall and puting the new one like a day of work max i should know my dad had a bodyshop till last week i know a guy that will do it and its right by your house well across the lake ill talk to u on friday if u go to the spot later dude...
 
you need brake lines and clutch lines and shit too and pedals, and it won't be real JDM RHD unless your ebrake handle is on the other side also... what I see most places do is they cut the transmission tunnel to the front rad. support and just welded the new one on, its all about measuring and good welding :D
 
I had mine done at jg also.....came out dope......then it got stolen........





But I do have a set of rhd jdm electric door panels ........$100....let me know.
 
There was a shop of the 826 and Ockeecobee that charedlike a grand or so but he is everything right. drilled all the spot welds so the fire wall came out complete. He didnt cut shit. When it was rewelded he added supports to help frame flex. After the new wall was in he used a seam sealer. and when all was done it was flawless.

IF you are paying someone to cut and weld and that is it. Good Luck. :rolleyes:
 
ive done alot of them. im the one that started the RHD conversion movement here.

think back to dday 1. blue hatchback with banana.. postal service video, etc.


you change the firewall. and the wiring. cut off the US ebrake weldment. weld on the JDM one. use the brake lines off the clip. everything off the clip. not hard work, just labor intensive. hence why i charge $3k to do the whole conversion.

dont waste money or time doing rhd to your car wont help u get any more sideways
 
not on my car. but on a car im building with a friend to sell.
and the rhd will almost double d price of a crappy s13. :bigthumbu
 
not really. less people are actually interested in RHD than LHD.. trust me. the last 4 of my 240s were RHD and actually kinda difficult to sell
 
I mean whats the opoint of just having RHD it offers no advantages at all besides delivering the mail . I mean if its an imported car thats one thing cause Thats the way the car is but to make a USDM Car RHD is just dumb.
