How to remove STRIPED headstud ?? HELP !!

ok..im taking the head of my sr .. and the LAST bolt is not broking but the head is gone..i cant grab it!!! how can i remove that bolt ? i will apreciate any help!! thank you!!

is it broke inside the block or is it above the block? did u break off the head of the bolt or what? we need more info just taking a pic of a engine doesnt help.

correct me if im wrong but if you broke the bolt shouldnt the head still come off? wont it just slide up? then you can see wats left of the bolt.

sorry about that , the bolt is the normal. but the head of the bolt is like round..so..the alien key dont grab !

yeah.. the bolt is not broke.. the head still there just for that bold that has the head bad and cant grab it

get the biggest one u can fit on the bolt, use the reccomended drill bit size for the given tap, and be super carefull, if u break the tip of the extractor in the bolt ur gonna be double fucked

try to get an allan key one or two size up and hammer it in like crazy, and then carefully unbolt it like usual, just make sure u put enough strength on it to break it loose yet not enough to strip it more ( i almost had the same problem with the head studs on my ka but i got it

hammer a star head in the hole on a ratchet thats who i have gotten out stripped heads before save you a little money

extractor is only realy good for lower torque....so be gentle or youll snap it

That's not an actual tool. And an $8 drill bit is not cheap.. go for that it will work just take ur time and be very carefull. And in case it doesnt work maybe the block can be rethreaded. good luck

thanks for all the help... and i didnt stripped the headbolt with a cheap tool..was like that before try..i will see today if i can take ir out..and if the head is good.. i will be selling it. including camshaft

Get a drill bit the correct size and just drill the top of the bolt off.... i've done this many times.
