I would loved to drive that track....and haha you post my replies from before...dude, did you take the trip to NJ, did your trucks tranny blow on the way down....To many expenses were brought up from this trip that yes that $100 will hurt me. Don't go around calling me ass, boy!



Tim, no way in hell i am putting this on you...I respect every single thing you have down for this drift community. I was just letting you and the rest know how things go up north....drivers get paid to drive for demos.

FARA is awesome to have us do shows at their venue....no need to charge us for the event and tires changes?? $30 per tire...are you serious......

Guys, i am not here to cause any pain or trouble....i am sharing info...so if you want to take it the wrong way....go for it....but I am standing behind what i say

WOW I have talked to your brother about this several times and alot of the other guys also. I realize what your saying but why are you tryin to make me look bad? Its not fair to call me out as if i was charging the drivers to drift. I have done nothing but try to help this comunity as much as possible. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHATS NOT FAIR.

If it was up to me and if i had the money i would open my own track and let people slide for 20 Bucks. But untill that day, i have to do the best i can to get as much seat time for you guys as possible.

Even if you were good enough to get paid to drive why would you bash the

local events? I see it all the time people complaining about the $100 entrance

fee and how far moroso/homestead is. Grow the fuck up and stop whining.

Back in the days the og guys would drive 5 hours to ocala just to slide. We

would spend way more than $100 bucks for a event. Now a days you guys

have events within a 2 hour drive. We used to have to make weekends out

of it. That means, gas, hotel, tires, food, w.e. other expenses etc etc.

4 years ago if we where allowed to slide @ a safe location it did not matter

far or how much it costed us. It was all about the sliding and having a good

times with friends and family. Its sad that many of the 'pro' drifters have

lost that love for the sport. Now its all about who places where, how many

octane tv spots they have been on, what magazine they are in etc etc etc.

When it should be about going to a grassroots drifting event hanging out

with people and just having a good time. Now it has turned into the dumbest

pissing contest ive seen in a while. Instead of supporting ter-tech and drift

sessions everyone always has something negative to say. Everyones

opinions are heard but some peoples thoughts just down right neglect the

people, friends, volunteers, and family that put these events on. Stop caring

wheel offset, aero, media, magazines and dumb shit and just drive to drive

have fun. Ive seen allot of drivers turn on each other and make enemies

that is not what it is about. This is SFLDRIFTERS. A community of people

who put hours of there life to give others a place where they can interact

and learn off each other. Point is.

No one put a gun to your head and said hey you have to drive homestead!

If you dont like it then sit on the sidelines. Aerok, fullopp, sns, fmdt, nbdt,

who ever the fuck has no right to tell the people who are giving us the

chance to slide @ a event what to do. If you cant afford it. Too bad.

Its sad to see the people who once loved the sport for the driving and

friends all tangled up in stupid politics. Like we have always said on sfld.

they can looz sight of what origianlly started the passion back in the days 4 drifting, auto X or rallying... w/e the fuck it is an individual does.

Wether we drift, autocross, or drag, its ultimately about putting on a great show 4the fans and the people that have yet to b introduced to drifting, etc.
Thats the only way it can grow and stay alive as the years pass by.

People forget what family is all about. I paid track time for a certain past miata driver that has gone to bigger and better things. When I asked if he could rock a genki style sticker, I was flat out ignored and never got a response from the multiple PMs and emails I sent.

MOst people cant handle competitive nature, plain and simple. Shit gets to their head and they forget what its all about.

Pro drifting is not a joke, it's a business.

All you "grassroots" drifters keep bragging about how it's a joke, but it does you more good than you realize.

The main problem you all argue that people who are into pro drifting are just as much of a "joke" as the idea of pro drifting. While there are cases where some people lose the heart for the sport and become too business oriented, there are many others that have not. There are a bunch of people that are in the professional drifting business (and not only drivers) but companies who are putting in good money into it.

Yes they are expecting to make some out of it, but another main goal constantly overlooked is to make the sport even bigger.

Why wouldnt they? The bigger it gets, the more people get into it and the better it gets for everyone. Win-win right?

But there are the guys who are grassroots and call themselves "O.G.", and f*ck everyone who joined after Tokyo Drift. F*cking posers right?

Wrong.

You want drifting events to get bigger? You want more options? More tracks? Maybe a full-time drift track with events every weekend for 20 bucks?

Well guess what? You need to get a lot of people interested in the sport. Spectators, drivers, companies. It's gotta grow MUCH bigger than it is now. And who are the ones who are going to do it? The companies and drivers who are working together to do so.

Professional drifting is MUCH MORE than just the judging. The problem is that most people that complain about it not only have nothing to do with professional drifting, but they miss the greater picture.

I have companies that invest in me to go out there and represent them. They invest in me, and not the sport. But by investing in me, I am able to make it to more events by saving costs in the parts they provide me with. So that's one more drifter attending events more often.

We all gotta do our share to make sure drifting gets big enough to make sure that we have the opportunities to do all the drifting we want, when we want, at a great price. Just like, if not better, than how Japan has it.

You think drifting in Japan isnt a business? Please.

all i have to say is when i joined sfld back in 06 i think there wasent a local event for a year after i joined...then ter-tech did the fairgrounds and ever since then driftsessions and ter-tech have been doing nothing but good things for the community! i couldnt be any happier to be part of this group!

damn right i was at nopi in jersey repn us son the vids of the drivers meeting im rockin my DCK shirt cold as hell LMAO. Its what ever though no matter whats said here people aren't gonna change there minds. I love grass roots events its alot more chill. Some people love the big events its just not my thing. In a matter of 6 months i was able to do 7 events which was awsome till my car couldn't take it anymore. I wish we could have a event at countylien like every three weeks now that would be dope. Give you enough time to fix your car and gives more seat time. :bigthumbu
