Hialeah's last lap

And why hasnt anyone given you any recognition? Or why have you not further tried to help the drifting community?
Easy...Time and Money. Right now we are dedicating ourselves to other forms of motorsports. Everything from the pros to SCCA Racing and RallyCross. With that and putting together 2 TV shows we are stretched to the limit.
Drifting in South Fla is barely a blip on the screen. None of our sponsors are interested. But that may change soon. I'll keep you guys posted.

There is one other reason. I am in the Motorsports Biz. Too many of you guys drift illegally. I cannot and will not allow ourselves to be exposed to the Liabilty.

By the way, the only Herald article I've seen on Hialeah Speedway and drifting was brought by me, on South Florida Sideways 2004, in which I have all the e-mails discussing with Tom Fiedler (the editor) and his reporter, arranging the event. And when I introduced the subject to them in October of '04, they were completely unaware of what drifting was. I also have the paper printed the following Monday, where South Florida Sideways came out on the front page of the Metro section.

You need to read the paper more. For Drift Miami we had 4 articles. 2 leading up to the event and one the day and another after reporting on the event. We made the front page of the Sunday Sports Section.
We also had a cover story in "the Street", And Article in the New Times and in various community Newspapers.
Also Channel 10 and 51 came out as well as HDnet.

So you're saying Ter-Tech, DGTrials, STFU&Drive, and anyone that hosts an event can be held liable and sued for what the drivers do outside of their sactioned events? What happens in the road has nothing to do with those who sanction events. Can I sue you as well for bringing drifting to South Florida? If drifting had not made it here, neither would illegal drifting.

Those guys do us a favor to try to provide us a better alternative to street drifting. You sent me various PMs in how you have no belief in the drifting community and how the drifters, DGTrials, Ter-Tech and everyone you possibly could include are the ones to blame for the failure "everything" you have done.

And for future reference...

And FYI, I found three articles by searching in the Herald's newsbank.

There is two article about DGTrials events, none of which mention your name or any involvement by someone other than DGTrials.

The other article is the one I arranged, published December 6th, 2004. And if you're in doubt... you can search for "drifting" "erick" "mahle" on the Herald's archives.

And if you really did accomplish so much for drifting, such as articles, TV programs, etc.... why not post it up like you do every rallycross? I mean basically all you do here is post pictures and info of Rallycross.... which I assume is your accomplishment alone as well?

PS: I'm taking Malacuso's advice. I'm done with arguing SFL drifting history.
