GTR vs. bullet Train

I am basing that on the fact that Corvette Z06 beat the R35 by 3 seconds on the curcuit. The Z06 is less money and about the same horsepower as the R35 so in all honesty even though I'm all for imports I'd buy a new Z06 over the R35.

Now if they were to create a R35 Z-Tune that absolutely destroyed all competition then it may change my outlook on the R35 but until that day I will not support the ugly, futuristic looking, overhyped(IMO) R35 GTR

Uh what? i would love to see a R34 Vs a R35 both stock just to see who comes out on top my best bet will be that the R35 will win. Nissan's engineers are not stupid they wouldnt make a GTR that is a lesser version then the last.

R32 > R33. Granted they redeemed themselves with the R34, but there's very little to argue that the R33 was a major dissapointment.

you are correct on that one my friend.....the R33 was the biggest piece of junk in which Nissan had the balls to stamp it with a Skyline name

It was the ZR1 that beat the R35 not the Z06, and the ZR1 costs over 100K.

^ Thats correct it was the ZR1 that beat the base model R35 not the Z06. The current Z06 has 505 hp and 475 ftlbs torque pumping from a 7.0 LS7 V8 whereas the GTR pumps 473hp and 434 ftlbs torque from a 3.8 litre V6 twin turbo. As stated in the video by Clarkson he said that each engine is hand made therefore hp rating fluctuates for the GTR as to when he said that when dyno tuning one in the U.S. one GTR put out 507 hp.

Japanese are about efficiency and Americans love raw power, whats not to like about either of the cars.

Exactly but that vid was great. Wish I could have been over there racing the world most efficient public transports in a R35. I would have lost though, cause once I hit the touge I would have turned around and hit the downhill.:laugh:J/K

this guy can't get his facts straight

z-tune is the same price as a GTR and a Z06 beat the GTR around the ring. I think he needs to start looking stuff up before he is allowed to have anymore opinions on the interwebs. OVERHYPED forgot about that one. I guess the people that test cars all the time should have said the new GTR was bland and ugly.

Absofuckinglutely true.

And this top gear was awesome

I actually like this GTR a lot now, it looks soooooo good in red

No, the ZR1 beat the GTR - NOT A Z06. And a ZR1 costs over $100k. And 3 seconds around the ring is not as extreme as it sounds since it takes over 7 minutes to complete one lap.

Now as for hype - if you think beating some of the best cars that companies like Porsche, Mercedes, Ferrari, and others have to offer is not worth hype, fine. If you think that coming it at at least half the price of most of those cars is not worth the hype, fine. But for god's sake, get your facts straight before you talk, please.
