Gotta love those new bmw owners...

Thats no surprise most BMW owners are like that, at my job there are two 2004 M3's (silver & black) and I've spoken to both of the owners which happen to be brothers. So anyways i asked them how are those Inline 6's treating you guys........................... Long pause thats all I got and I know these guys pretty good so it's not like they were ignoring me. The enthusiasts wouldn't have an automatic tranny anyways.

BTW. BMW = BigMoneyWasters. I love the cars but thats what they are for these people they have no clue as to why these cars cost what they do. To them it's the price tag that made them want the car.

w0w thats really fked up, i thought it was bad on other forums but that one takes the cake!!! feel sorry for that kid though...cuz they raped him a new one and there still going!

bro....seriously people ...... "The only thing I noticed is that even at a complete stop, the tachometer needle is never at 0 or close to 0 RPMs. At a complete stop, the needle's just under 1. Is this normal?"

You gotta be kidding me, this kid should be banned from all automobiles and given a bicycle to commute. What an idiot. He actually thinks the RPM's are suppose to be at zero when the car comes to a stop. What an idiot.

I thought for sure it was a girl asking that question. If I was riding around with a guy and he asked me that question I would simply open the door, get out and walk my *** home laughing the whole time.

1000rpms idle is high it should be between 600-800 rpms unless he has the a/c on and the cars idle dose go up to 1000rpms.

That is the exact reason that this is the only forum I take part in. I wonder what attracts so many people from other forums to that particular one though.

eh thats true too but im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe he just got into the "car thing" and doesnt know **** about them...yes raping him a new one is the best way for him to learn that way he doesnt go to 50 other bmw sites asking the same thing and making an even bigger fool of himself!

ugh speaking of beamers today me and chubbs (chiefslapahoe) went to space and they had this 5 series parked out front like if they had it for display, I wanted to go and tear that car apart because of its stupid *** factory alarm!

it ended being that the person that posted that was a chick. that is a legit excuse for posting something like that cuz i know we all know at least one girl that would ask the very same question

eh shes excused then, they dont know anything...well most of them (christy and lebbet excluded from this conversation...i dont feel like getting slapped by a bunch of angry cubans)

You would flame this kid if it was a Nissan. It just so happened to be a BMW.

Real BMW enthusiasts know what a BMW is. BMW arent Big Money Wasters. BMW owners are true enthusiasts, because Chris Bangle and his piece of **** chassis designs aside, most BMWs are a work of art. When comparing two cars in the same category, a BMW almost always has the upper hand.

To this day no one has matched the power to displacement ratio naturally aspirated of an e46 M3. The Honda S2000 might've come close when it was a 2.0, but the new 2.2 just lost it. It was funny that the 2.0s were a true sports car, because it requires someone to know what they are doing to take advantage of such a car (like the rotary engines), but they ask their producers to put some more torque, because it's the ****ty excuse for a bad driver.

Obviously you will always have that idiot who doesnt know the displacement in their engine, or who feels awkward because his car idles at something over than zero, but that's for all the brands, from ricer civics to Ferrari owners. There's always the idiot who won the lottery, bought a ferrari, and didnt even know the engine was in the back. There's always the Civic owner that doesnt know what VTEC does.

man i would flame the guy if it was a bentley, hehe i flame everyone...but im not a flamer so dont get me confused with one

For reference: 200HP / 2.0L = 100HP/L

E46 M3 : 333HP / 3.2L = 104.0625HP/L
Honda S2000 : 240HP / 2.0L = 120HP/L
Honda S2000 : 240HP / 2.2L = 109.09HP/L

Based on my calculations, the Honda S2000 produces more power per liter than the BMW M3. Unless i'm missing something here.

the E46 M3 CSL has a 3.2l putting out 355hp. That is the BMW I am using for this reference.

355HP/3.2L = 110.94 HP/L

My statement was accoding to top gear's Jeremy Clarkson, maybe he's seeing something I'm not. However I will give credit where credit is due. The S2000's 2 liter engine was a great engineering product. Shame popular demand changed this to a 2.2l.
