Florida Drift Points Series

nopi still had car shows and bikini contests every event this year btw.

nopi failed because the venues were in poorly populated areas that didnt give a shit about it and quite a bit of bad luck with weather.

if you pick crappy tracks with cappy cars it wont work out. homestead is our only 'great spectator' and driver course that we have drifted on in FL.

sorry but MOROSO wasnt that good because there was like a 100 mile walk from bleachers to concession and anything else there.

we cant expect a FL series to be 'huge' without the sweet tracks and drivers to perform on them. we CAN have a fun points series with the drivers and not care about it being huge with the tracks we have now.

you guys need to stop puttin this shit down, it can be done, it just needs some key people to make it happen. I will GAURENFUCKINTEE this is 100% possible. You just need to go at it the right way, and do everything right. look at the last Fairgrounds for instance, remember the 1st fairgrounds, alot of the drivers have improved tremendously. comps bring more audience than practices. no one wants to watch people practice. its all about head to head shit. You guys need to be more positive

^^ So your gonna do it? I think we are all positive about it, just it's something that no one here can acheive besides... really Harri and Ter-Tech.

.....i heard moroso is going to be sick

Well there would have to be a pro and amateur comp at the same time that is pretty much the only way to get something going to make it cost effective for the organizers. So we need a minimum of 16 dedicated "pro" drifters with rollcages (we have enough skilled drivers for it, just need them caged) and same amount of amateurs class drifters. If I can get those numbrers Ter-Tech will do it.
Sincerely
Harri Tervola

^^^^Those are easy numbers to match d00d. The skilled guys (you know who you are) just need to invest in a cage. Instead of saying, "I need a new turbo for more whorezpowerz!" You should be thinking, "Man, I could have more fun with a cage, because I can tandem now."

I couldn't pull that shit off, but i can help by participating :) I'm gonna have my new car finished by sept :)
and you can bet i'll be at every single event once finished.

Also I said key people. I dont have to even say who they are. cause everyone knows who the fuck holds down the drift events here in SFL

<3<3

I can think of 16 pro drivers right off the top of my head and there is probably more. Not sure if they could all swing something like this.

^^Thing is, it's all in Florida. Travel expenses won't be much and it should be easily attainable for any of the pros to get to all the events.

Some of the guys I know over here in Orlando couldn't swing driving that far to some of these events and pretty much at that level you really need a truck and trailer.

Lets face it driving 3-5 hours and drifting your car and then driving back would suck, all in a car that is probably far from a daily.

am sure not all the events will be down here. cuz like u mention its gonna gona be fair. and eventually get boaring bcuz the drivers will learn the track by memory. am sure they can manage to make some events up there. to be fair w everyone. and who ever can make it good.

Well then those people cannot do it. It will require commitment and of course some money. 3-5hours of driving is not bad at all considering Nopi events took place 45hrs away in Cali or 20 hours up in Jersey. If people can't drive for a measley 3-5hours then I would say don't be in the series. If you don't have a trailer, a Uhaul isnt too much.

This isn't Nopi though, its a Florida Series. If it really goes through I think you will see alot of people giving it there best shot to be out every single one of these events, unless eveyone just enjoys going out to practices all the time to get nothing but experience from it. I want to put it to use.

plus...I remember the days when DG Trials use to throw events over at Ocala, we use to ride up deep and have fun on the road for 5 hours with road blocks....and slide the shit out of our cars then drive home no problem.......

quit your bitching, get on the band wagon and lets make FL be spoken of!
