first job as an intern!

Mickelson came into the studio today looking to get a price on some photographs. The last studio he went to over charged him for 3 outfits and 1 light set up. Donna introduced him to me, and said "This is your first job here, goodluck." I asked Mickelson what he was looking for and he replied with "I like shadows." So I gave him shadows. He was very happy with the results, and so was I. I edited the pictures at the studio on their 30 inch Mac Cinema HD Display, and the pictures looked amazing. I get home, and the photograph I edited seems very underexposed, which I know its not because I metered the picture at least 15 times. If anyone can give me feedback on how dark this picture is on your screen it would be greatly appreciated.

Your histogram looks good, and so does the light on a calibrated monitor. Have you checked the calibration on the display you are using at home?

I think the easiest and most accurate way would be to buy or borrow a hardware calibration tool like a Pantone Huey or xRite EyeOne Display.
