First it wouldn't start, now it keeps shutting off!

how to do all the things you tell me... i don't know if i said it earlier.. but i'm a total noob

before i bought the car i had only test driven it once, and when it shut off during my test drive i originally thought it was just because the car was on empty... then it shut off on me again when i got it and i ended up having to tow it home because it wasnt starting. got it to the Nissan guy and he tried to figure out them problem but as i said he had no clue...

i need like step by step instructions to do what you guys are saying which would take time that i really don't have... i have so much things to do before i leave for college i'm so stressed out.

sounds like a sensor. In my other car the map sensor used to cause that, in yours it might be maf and oxygen to gether maybe...
