First it wouldn't start, now it keeps shutting off!

Big problems... the car has been shutting down on me and hasn't been starting until about 15-30 minutes later. So I took the car to the Nissan specialist and he said we first needed to install a Coolant Temperature Sensor before we could continue the process of looking for the problem. Then after that, I sat beside him as he proceeded to drive the car and when he revved it, it just shut off. He has had it now for past couple of days and he cannot see why the car is having all these problems.

I only have two weeks left till college and I have spent so much money on this car that does not work.

Is there anyone who can come look at the car and see whats wrong?:confused:

Here is a list of the stuff the previous owner put in the car:
1990 Fastback chassis, currently w/120k miles
1993 240sx engine KA24DE swap, currently w/105k miles
1992 240sx transmission swap, currently w/85k miles
Nismo motor & transmission mounts
ACT organic cluth w/heavy duty pressure plate
NEW clutch master & slave
Garrett 57 trim turbo
JGS manifold
TiAL wastegate
650cc injectors
Z32 fuel filter
Walbro 255 pump, hard wired to battery
N62 (Z32) MAF
tuned ROM ECU
Greddy front mount intercooler
Peak Boost BOV
Running 6psi


My mother advised me against buying the car, but no.. I had to get the turbo 240... now it has drained my bank account and it doesnt work. :mad:

I would greatly appreciate if someone can help me out.

Bring the car to the shop soo i can take a look at it pm me for more info..
 
when it doesnt start is is cranking but not starting or does it not crank at all?
 
I just got the car back from the mechanic... it shut off on me at every fucking light!

It just won't sustain the rpms so it shuts off, and normally you take your foot off the clutch slowly and it moves off but now i have to basically peel out everytime in order for it to move off.

it turns when it wants to... then i have to kick the gas everytime and keep it above a 1000rpms for it to get going.
 
^^+1. before you do anything. put the ecu on diagnostic mode and see what codes it throws. you'd be surprised how much the ecu will tell you
 
+1 and a big one too. Check IACV hose and make sure that has no cracks. if not follow every vaccum line for leaks. Also check timing and AFR's
 
I'm gonna check my IACV as soon as I decide to go outside... otherwise no break problems piner.

after I clean the IACV I'll see if it runs...

and I'll try to read the ecu... never done it before. Thats prolly why the mechanic couldn't read the computer... he prolly thought it was KA24E

if its a re-tuned ecu most likely you wont be able to read codes cuz that is removed the light and all that stuff, this is how it is on my rs enthalpy ecu. check for vaccum leaks make sure the vaccum hose is connected to the fuel pressure regulater, is the maf wired right or is it good at all, and did this car ever run right or is this how you got it?

dude I really don't know I'm so fucking busy I don't have the time to even check it out... look for a post in the for sale section.
