as long as you wear all your gear then you'll more than likely come out alive it most bike accidents. I had a teacher who was run of the road on his bike fly over the handle bars and landed on his head. Thank god all he got has a concussion and some torn muscles in his shoulder. If he hadnt of worn his helmet he would of been dead. Most deaths by bike accidents can be prevented by wearing the protective jacket, a good helmet, and riding like a normal person instead of pulling stunts everywhere.

not when a semi hits you.. happen to my dads friend a couple of years ago.. was wearing a helmet and jacket and leather pants..

^^ Thas exactly what I was thinking.... Even if you protect yourself there is still a major risk that you will seriously get hurt if hit or clipped.....

Even if u get Hit by a car while wearing a helmet, you still have a High possibility of dying even though you have one on. It's all about luck. Wearing a helmet just saves your skull from bashing against the pavement. But its always a smart thing to ride with one on, though.

i highsided my bike at like 80-100 wasnt pretty but i walked away i had full gear on

but glad ur ok and still with us....
