exhaust question!!! legal or illegal

is there a hight restriction on an exhaust? i wanna put a huge fucking boso pipe on my car. basicly i wanna see my exhaust tip threw my rear view mirror. i asked the muffler shop and they said that they dont know but they will do it for me. i was going to heat wrap it so i dont get to many complaints. would i get a ticket? has anyone done the same?

basicly i just wanna know if its legal.
 
i just dont wanna be in the publix parking lot and some kid walk by and touch it while its hot and find a bitch mom wondering why i have a 6 foot exhaust sticking out of my car.

i want it because i saw a r32 that had one done and it looked gansta as fuck.

yeah it would be cool but heat wrapping it would look really ugly.....just put a sticker on ur rear bumper saying

damn 6 ft shit is higher then me i say do IT ! and put a lil cap on the top like a 18 wheeler

ive been asking myself the same question.. i wanna get an exhaust like estie had.. bt idk if while DD or parked or w.e.. can they issue me a ticker for it.. i know cuz its loud.. but sticking out??? or up? anyone plz.

i was going to heat wrap it but i think ill just paint the tip red or yellow and stencil "exhaust>" on the end.

they'll ticket you.

you could weld a flange 18 inches in from your rear bumper under the car (so the end pieces have the hangars attached to them) and make it interchangeable with an end piece that doesn't scream "Fuck the cops I dare you to give me a tick!"

well i dont have a muffler. and the exhaust on it now was done at a machine shop. the shop that is doing the boso pipe is going to redo the whole exhaust.

well whats the longest that i can have my exhaust?
 
ok i have a exhuast on my supra that sticks up over my rear decklid i got a ticket for it but its cause it was too loud. The cop said my exhuast looked gay but didnt say it was illegal from a style or hight stand point. So as far as i know its not illegal as long as its not super loud and mine wasnt even straight pipe it had a muffler.

thanks, thats what i wanted to hear.

my car has a strait pipe on it now and i havent had any cops tell me it was to loud. thanks alot.

this was my setup 3" exhuast pipe just bent straight up coming out of my muffler im gonna do the same on my 240

I'm not trying to give you shit, and I don't want to discourage you, but have a plan or else decide that you just don't give a fuck. Either way, do it.

that guy did do a badass job with that exhaust!
