drive shaft fits funny

i just put the drive shaft in my s13 today, i mouted the bearing(not fully), then bolted it to the diff, then snugged up the carrier bearing bolts. i noticed that the front is not fully in the trans, like it doesnt butt to the seal. is this bad? maybe its an abs drive shaft? am i gonna have gear oil leaking?

just turn it on. lol i just popped a bushing in my driveshaft today, lol it sux but it went down in style! sideways as fuck
 
It is not suppose to go in fully. The shinny part that goes into the tail of the trans should show some. That's because when you engine torques it should be able to slide in n out a bit. Take a picture it may help
 
alright, thanks dude! yea, it is sticking out just a little bit, probly about a .5"-1". that makes perfect sense, thanks bro!

yeah there should be some clearance but not tons, if its ABS you should just be able to switch out the upper half (if i remember correctly)


and if thats the case i have what you need.
 
alright cool. i dont have any gear oil right now to test it, but ill get some pics tomorrow.
