take it from me, I work at a shop and I get the same B.S. all day kids come in and ask for a sponsorship with beat up or 1/2 way done cars... not gonna happen.

unless you have a name for yourself and or great connections you aint getting shit but a "we'll look into it, thanks for your interest in our company" and that just means they are doing what Pancho posted.:laugh:

stop eating shit, stop looking for hand outs, make a name for yourself, and focused on 1 project at the time... or you will end up with a garage full of hopes and dreams.



I will tell you that better drivers with nicer cars are having a hell of a hard time getting help and they actually are doing the shit with or without sponsors.

Its not like we didnt try to warn him.. but now that he see's it coming from someone with sponsors maybe he'll realize he's asking pigs to fly..
 
Ok, guys!! I know very well that everything you guys are saying is true to a certain point. If you want the big stuff you need to have a certain level of reputation and know how. So we know that when our garage is in a better position and status level things will be different. But I have known many guys in the passed that have gotten sponsors for basic stuff like bodykits, gauges, clutches, radiators, and other simple stuff. Now if this has changed a lot due to the economy then that is possible but anything would help. I guess we will have to take it up with the companies individually like ksport, etc.

ok, but his car doesn't even run... what guarantee does a company have that the parts given will go to good use and the car will be seen somewhere other than the for sale section on craigslist.
they are not stupid, even thought they make the product it still cost them $$$ to make it and they have a set budget for sponsorships and they want to make sure the right people get the product... specially now a days when every1 is a mad tite JDM drifter.

OK so your a Garage? meaning what? you have a place where you work on your cars along with cars of customers? or are you just a group of freinds that have a ware house to mess around in?

for real when i had my supra and i put the v8 in it i got my drive shaft sponsored but i have known the guy that owns that shop for like 15 years. i use to drive a jr dragster for his shop back in the day. Even then i still had to beat him in head for weeks to make me the drive shaft but in return i spread around his company through friends and contacts and now his shop is doing alot better cause hes bringing in clients from different motor sports and according to him that drive shaft he gave me was the best investment he made towards his biz. its a give and take they have to get what they put in or its not worth it.

ok guys for the record im not looking to just get a free ride with a sponsor im just looking for what everyone else is a way to finally hurry and finish my car ive been working on rotarys for awhile and ive never been a bastard with anyone on this forum overall just looking to see if anyone here knew sponsors THANKS TO ALL WHO COMMENTED AND HELP AND ADVISE SAS YOUR THE MAN LOL
