DIFFERENCE IN DIFFS .*Gears!!!!!!

well.
as sum of u may have know.,

i had the skyline R32 vlsd. the one with the long gears....
this puppy was SWEET.
i would go 130mph @ 5,000rpm and Cruise ToP speed and never hit the fuel cut off.
BAD side was that it didnt lock up that good and the 0-60 speed was slow. but top speed was awesome....

NOW> i got my hands on an Super hicas lsd *the canadian one.
now this baby locks up crazy both tires lock up on 1st, 2nd and 3rd. i love it. RIGHT turns PUM and left turns PUM TOO>

BUT!!!!! the gears are ridiculously SHORT> the speed is super quick. like i take off like nothing!!! but my top speed is like 115@5,500rpm and then the fuel cut off will kick in.
DAT SHIT SUCKS!!!
i mean yeah it drifts amazin but i want speed.

not only that but...

when i had the R32. and my tach would say 70mph i was actually going like 80 or 85mph.
now with this one, when it says 95mph, im cruisin like at 80...mph... so.. WDF?

can someone gime the
Gear ratios of all this diffs?

1.5 and 2 way is the LSD unit. They do not include a ring and pinion set. You must use your own. Any Ring and Pinion set from the list you put will work. It just depends on your preference.

As far as you actually MPH and your Speedometer they will vary unless you use the OEM FD from the vehicle! It will also vary based or wheel and tire size. No way around it.

As for the super hicas i couldnt find any info on the gear ratios but i m gussing its about the same as the about diff.
 
The only thing that pertains to the thread starters question is the final drive ratios listed in all those ratios above.

240sx = 4.08
j30= 3.90
180sx with sr= 4.08
180sx with ca= 4.36
z32 na= 4.08
You can get a 4.6 ring and pinion set from nissan for the r200 differential.

z32tt diff is a r230 differential not a r200. the 240sx, j30, NA z32, and 180sx have a r200 differential.

You are backwards. 4.6 is NO top end fast accel. 3.36 like the 6 speed S15 is a 3.36 top end queen.
 
if u want top end just install an automatic ka24de ecu and you can hit 143 before your reaches its limit due to wind and traffic sweaving.. just make sure you have good tires :D

but I WANT TOP SPEED like the R32. BUT i want Driftability TOO .... so
what can i do?
damn so i guess the R32 diff is like 3.4 or sum cus that bitch would reach the limit of my engine and still i was just at 5,000rpm going like 130+mph.....

yeah should i just pop the R32 back in and forget about drifting?
THe R32 would be great if i had a SR but naka, means no dorifto ....well kinda... more like LAME dorifto....lol

i have a Hicas Diff and my top end is 125 - 130mph. Also why in hell do you want to go so fast on a car that is so damn old. Have you replace all the bushings, what type of suspension are you running, because if you are still on the OE bushings and running some crappy tires, not only are you putting your life in danger when you are hitting 130, but you are also putting that mother with her 2 kids in the mini van in danger. If you want speed sell the 240 and get a SRT4. I have every single bushing in my car made of Poly, and i am running a decent suspension set up, and i still hesitate before going over 100mph in my 240sx.

either way.... ANYWHERE I GO! highway related... CRUISING is around 80mph.
THEN THIS CITY IS FILLED WITH DUMMASS PEOPLE!!!! and Fucking MOMS IN MINIVANS Talking on the CELL. so HELL NO i dont wana go at the same speed as those people.
so i accelerate. next thing i know, im cruising at 100 mph.
