So any thoughts of the events? i havent seen anybody post anything about it.

i have lots of opinions and thoughts about it.

1quite a few SFLdrifters members kicked ass.
2I think the miata took first cause he was on Maxxis tires. whick kicks ass cause the means he got to collect some $$$
3i couldnt go for a ride along cause i was a spectator and not a driver. but the LS1 powered S13 had a spectator banded passenger in it.
4alot of people dissappointed me.
5alot of people finally got that first turn down and made it a better event.
6hot ass girls
 
More people needed to start sliding before the 1st turn instead of in it.

And alot of people were hauling ass out of the start only to slam on their brakes for the last 40 feet. Why bother???

But other then that Id say the overall level of florida's drifters is improving. We just need more events. Biggest problem with florida and no events is just when you get comfortable on the track the events over and you have to wait another 2-3 months to start all over again.

well i like that Dgtrials said theyll see us next year......oooowwww how sweet only a year untill the next one.
 
That was my first even in 10 months so I loved it. I had consistancy problems and seriously bad timing but next event will be different! The car rules now but the driver needs work!!!

You hit the nail right on the head. I didn't get the first turn down until my second runs, of wich I only got three... I don't know what happened and why I only got so few runs on my second runs but when I asked I was told there was nothing they could do about it. So I go to the judged runs just figuring out the first turn and wishing I had about 3 or 4 more pratice runs...

All in all I had a great time and am waiting to hear when the nexr event will be? :confused: I really hope for something sooner then next year...
 
Awesome event in all +1 on the chicks. only thing is that I wish I could have been more consistent on the 1st turn. I hit it correctly 2 times and spun out on it 2 times with all four off but w/e I learned alot and thanks for the advice josh it helped .. to the sfl members that were there driving good shit also the Ak guys.. only one causualty all event one persone broke their tie rod.

that event was awsome, lot of the members kicked ass to, nice suprise to see the xat's supercharged v8 240 out there, and the drift racing sydicate guys out there, all in all the show was awsome, very fun.
 
I had lots of fun watching, Im glad the guy in the Z31 placed since he was running open diff and kicking ass he needs an lsd
 
The guy in the z31 was not running an open diff although he did on the last event in Orlando and still did well. He is now runing a vlsd which doesn't mean much as he probably would have been killing it either way...

So far so good. I bent/misaligned something in my right front suspension though as my steering wheel is off about 3 deg to the right. Once I get some energy I will see what it is but the weekend just drained me so I can't even stand to look at my car right now...
 
i saw that guy that drifted the off ramp with a really nice camera taking pics all day. i got some video but i forgot my adaptor to my computer at home and im still in ocala, so ill try posting soon.

Really wow could have sworn he was still open diff, I mean the inde tire seemed to be all that was smokeing. I guess I got so used to him running open
