While I feel the judges stand should not be mic'ed up fully because some things that might be said can be taken out of context or misunderstood. Being in the booth I dont recall feeling like anyone was really getting picked on but listening to this sounds like it in places. Sitting there and seeing how a person is saying something is different than hearing it. And if we had a real iffy decision to pull we dont need the driver thinking a certain judge is 'against' them if they said something about their run.

i will talk to rob about some of the announcing and bringing it down a notch on the sarcasm, it seems to be a little much, but i know rob is 99% of the time just being playful and keeping the crowd alive.

i apologize to anyone that feels the announcing was harsh and will work on resolving this for the future.
 
Rob did an excellent job on the microphone. As a spectator at this event I did not feel as if he were picking on any driver in particular, but as you said jason he was keeping the crowd alive.
 
Drivers cant even hear him. I never heard anything he said while I had my helmet on.

I thought he was funny as hell though. honda wheels = orange sherbet!! HAHA!! And he doesnt even like me.....business deal gone bad in the past....I don't care anymore though... and the mario sound effects were awsome!!!

He is a great announcer IMO

Rob did awesome job and his commenting is funny...not sarcastic...he would have to sit quietly there otherwise...scared not to hurt anyones feelings...because they can't deal with reality...and drivers don't hear anything...Rob for president :)
 
Rob was on point, he is funny and keep people going... and he knows wat his shit.
mad props to Rob for the MARIO fx and the cellphone background... u rock man :bigthumbu
