Countyline Suggestion Thread

we were informed that the trailer and krails that where there before couldnt be removed and when i got there none of it was there so thats why we couldnt complete the circle im gonna see and try to draw everything out to improve the next event

IMO I love the layout they had. We have ovals everywhere, finally we have layout that is LOCAL and technical withought mass amounts of horespower needed. Its tricky going both ways, entering and exiting.

On the entry you have make sure you don't go in too fast and connect the second turn which you have to slow down and flick to go around the cone, or keep speed to extend a longer drift around the cone and keep the drift going to connect it all they back. I think I only saw Xero do all of that smoothly, while keeping close to all the clipping points.

Now I for one don't like to ever complain about tracks but try and make due with what we have to become better. If you give a pro skateboarder a barrel, a rail, and curb, he can put on just a good exhibition as he would at a gigantic skatepark.

thats why we should keep the layout... it was perfect plus more seat time..... maybe for the tandem we can make it the whole oval... but i think the lay out was perfect

The announcer just needs to never have a mic ever again in his whole entire life.

Liability forms! Someone's going to get sued if that doesn't happen.

Staff who takes ownership of problems. You guys were great, but to get my media pass to spot, we were directed over 4 times to different people.

NO OVALS.. if you cant link a simple u-turn turnaround drift you need more practice or quit drifting. That was the best layout Ive seen in many events.. well probably the only one since all the rest are oval speedways lol.

well i for one loved the event. my first one and i considered at one point selling my G35 to buy an 86 (86 and not 240 just cuz i get a hard on off 86's) and just drift all day, all night. lol. yea, not gona happen. but it was great.
suggestions
better security at front
organization
longer event for sure
AND
mothafudgin PARKING!!! i walked past the entrance to my car and even when there was empty spots they wouldnt let u in!!!!!

all in all, great event. i really hope it becomes monthly. also, that IS350 drifintg made my day. AT FTMFW!!!! LMAO. one day i might grow balls to drift the 4door G and show yall what ridin sideways is all about. :D

it should start at 7am-whenever
spectator 20
driver 60
ride along 15
add driver 25
payout grand:500
DECENT

all in all i can't complain really except for the uninformed announcer, closer to broward and easily accessible. i guess the track could be a bit longer, the crowd stay as far away from the wall as possible, all that debris XERO240 was kicking up almost destroyed my aviators

i think everyone should pay something doesnt matter the amount
(media and spectators) it will only help the event and future events

i like to see an announer that has some knowledge and back away from the track or volume turned down or something.

thats is all

There should be an industrial blower to push all the rocks and stuff back to where it belongs, one little or big rock can give major issues to spectators or cars.

K-rails need to be farther back with no spaces between them.

Loved the layout of the course, no need to change.

Longer starting distance.

Resurfacing of the track. My tires are chewed like ground beef.

All is all a great event and props to Tim on his first time holding it.

one of those times was probably from me spinning out on one of my last runs when it was wet hahahah.

i really didnt have a problem with tires. i did 8 runs, and didnt use up any tire. all i had were so old ass continentals and they've lasted me 3 kart track full day sessions, one full day at the skidpad at moroso, like 500 miles of driving and now the whole countyline event. i was talking to piner about them.

they're magical tires. he had some too.. the same kind as well i'm going to buy some more they last forever.

alright well in my opinion:

1. i was standin the kill zone(the spot where the k-rails ended) and well i was was scared of my life at sometimes!! made people were running when thoses cars came a little bit too close for comfort!! MORE K0RAILS

2. fuk that drag shit!!! SFL DRFITERS held it down with that ballen ass crowd!!!
3.NEED a running ambulence on scene!!
4.Need a liability fourm to sign
5.Drifters need to park by the course and specators at the mini skid pad!
6.open the complet track up!!!
7.run from 7am-7pm need more time
8.way BETTER ANNOUNCER

my .02 but from it seems on the other suggestion thread the owner(mc?) was tring to rush us out and wants to collect some big bucs for the next time!!!! i wonder if will ever drift there agan!!??? but will see! it seems promising! def, ran good for tm's first time!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

i sat down yesterday to try to fix every complain when i realized all we need is better management , more cones , 1 krail , and guille as anouncer this is what i came up with:

Drivers pay $55-$60
spectators pay $10
media pay $5-$10 ( if you guys are bitching about paying then dont go at all lol )

the pits has to be in the skidpad just because u all need a flat surface and its safely away from spectators the distance thing can be resolved i will personally transport drivers in tims vert if he aint driftin it or my truck or anyones car!

parking will have to be 100ft behind the tent/starting line on both sides of the strip

now krails i really dont know if its gon be possible i mean well try but if not then its photographers risk

we will try to see if we can get gullie on the mic if not then we will give the manager a run down on EVERYTHING cars, drivers names etc

i think tim would agree with me wen i say that we will not throw another event at countyline unless it is strictly ONLY drifting

30 drivers and 3 groups of 10 with each driver 5 RUNS is perfect just dont eat shit dont get there late or you WILL LOSE YOUR RUNS if we can start earlier and end later in a STRICTLY drifting event all drivers would easily get atleast around 20-30 runs which for $55 i dont care wtf anyone says thats awesome

i hate sloppyness!!!! so we gon need more cones and more of dat cool flag caution line stuff lol so we can make a FULL path for the spectators and for the return lane so we can let drivers who just finish running back in line and dumb hicks from driving onto the track lol

it would be great if we could have atleast 3-4 more staff members

as much as the free food rocked i really felt bad we should atleast pay $7 all u can eat atleast that was a very kind gesture on robs part but yea i felt bad

and about the rock blower we came from sliding on the streets getting tickets and crashing our cars cmon if u guys see any BIG ASS rocks let us no and well take care of it but there will aways be rocks on there srry its life well sweep the track as best as we can after each group runs

lemme know if i missed anything

I'm still wondering why you will require making Media pay. Media gets you exposure, and in turn builds excitement and popularity of your event. The more media you have = the more hot photos you have at the end of the event. Those hot photos get everyone excited and make them want to come and slide or watch. In turn for these free promotional materials, i.e. pictures, you get media in for free and allow them access to the inside of the track so they can get those great pictures.

It's fairly simple. You may make 25-35 dollars off the media people, if they pay 5 bucks. Is it really worth it to charge members of the media at the dollar level? I've shot Drift 411, Drift Fury, DG Trials, SEDA, forgot NOPI, Daytona Beach Soundoff... so on, and not one event has made me or any other photographer on course pay for entrance. DG Trials even lets your spotter in for free. It's just a sound business decision and a smart move to give the media that one perk in exchange for all the great photos.

Listen, $5 or $10 is only that. I'm not hurting for $10 to go shoot pics, it's just the principle behind the matter; that it would be against every conventional wisdom to charge media. Hell, even in the big leagues, whatever sport you want to bring up, allows members of the media in for no charge because they realize all the free publicity. Ask for the really good shots to be used on your next fliers, or ask that a watermark be placed on the photos from the event, things like that.

I just feel the nonchalont attitude, "If you don't like it, then don't come" is a little off base. we don't get paid to come take pics of your events. We do it cause we enjoy it. And we both benefit from that positive relationship. I drove from Jacksonville to take pics. I drove 5 hours to sit in the sun and rain for 5 hours, and turned around and went home. Why? To get pictures of you guys cause
1. I like all the people on this board.
2. I love taking photos
3. And if I can give positive exposure and grow the sport and this community then it's worth it.

Don't go shooting yourself in the foot trying to spite the media. All that's not in anger, just letting you know. It's all good, and I got love for all on this board. Those I've met, and those I haven't, you all seem very cool.

My .02
