Consumerist Catches Geek Squad Stealing Porn From Customer's Computer

thats just sad.

But at the same time, people need to learn to burn their shit to CD, or keep it on their own portable drives. I work for Staples EasyTech, and sometimes the shit is just out there on the desktop...thumbnails, vids, all sorts of shit. Sure, it's funny to see and all, and you learn that people have some weeeeiiiirrrrddddd kinks...but w/e. as long as its not kiddie porn, to each his own. but stealing that shit is just wrong
 
why the fuck would they steal porn? they're geek squad dont they have computers of their own to go watch porn on? lol

LMFAO i work for the geek squad! hahahaha at my store if we find porn we really dont care much, like some one said that what we got our own computers for. but every once in a while we find someones like hidden folder with pics of them and we look through it but as far as i know none of the geeks i work with sit there and copy the shit. but most of the stuff on that site about geek squad is true.

Dont trust em with your pc if you have files you dont want seen. and make sure you back up all your data before you take your pc in cuz alot of the time things will get formated for no reason.
 
If you're contracted to do a job like install a card, remove a virus, install software why the hell are your techs looking for hidden files? More importantly why are you condoning that once you find out that its pics of them? They hid it for a reason. I worked for best buy for two years in computer sales and we had good techs and bad. If I ever caught any of the techs going through shit they didn't need to then they received some nice words. There's no need to go digging through someones shit. It's like opening someones medicine cabinet while you use thier bathroom at a party. Glad their is more proof to backup the claims made by a former tech.
