hey guys how hard is it to install coils? i have a stock 92 and i wanted to know how hard it would be to put them on myself. thanks

this was a very intense video. so much knowlede was forced into my head...

i remember when i bought my first coils i drove up to jupiter, swapped them off a wrecked car that was still on a trailer.. it was my first time doing it and it was FUN lol

They stole my coils! Lol. Megan tracks are the shit. I love them.

Longest coil install ever! But good tut. And ya it should only take you about 20 min or so for the whole car.

It shouldn't take more then 5 mins on each wheel, exp the rears. I can easily install coils on a car and take no longer then 20 mins.

notttt.

there is no way you can go from the car sitting on the ground with stock suspension to the car having coilovers on it, set at a consistant height on all 4 corners in 20 minutes.

Oh sorry massa ur right, my bad it really takes me 3-4 hrs to do it. No it take me 20 mins to install them then set height and level it out.

apology accepted.

dont let this bullshit happen again.

but foreal, there is not a goddamn CHANCE that you can take a stock car sitting on the ground, jack it up, remove wheels, remove stock suspension, put coilovers on, put wheels back on, and have it back on the ground.....and somewhere in there adjust the ride height.

okay it takes the average joe like 10 minutes to jack the car up with stock suspension and take a wheel off. another 5minutes to take the bolts and nuts off, 10 minutes to put the coilover back on because now you have to jack the control arm or take the sway bar off to push the pos into place.

anyway you should have all the heights set evenly on the coilover before u install it so atleast you have somewhat even-ness when u put them on and then just adjust from that point.

but it definately takes another 10 mins to setup the camber halfway correctly.

so its ATLEAST an hour job for the average joe with regular tools

Yes with reg tools what about a lift and air tools?

even with a lift and air tools, its gonna take more then 20 minutes.

unless you're fucking Jeff Gordons pit crew.

and this is also saying EVERYTHING goes smooth.

as in, the bolts arnt rusted on like every damn s13 in the world and you dont have to do ghetto ass shit....like every s13.

it take 5 min to load the car on the lift, 5 mins to take off all the wheels, 5 mins each corner to remove the shock, 5-10mins to install the new ones, 20mins to setup the height and camber correctly lol

I use to do it for a living, if you can do it faster and correctly, cool.
