ClubFR Video

Seriously, we need to start taking Donations to build a track like this. There is so much untouched land in Okeechobee. Might take us a while but I'm sure we can do it with enough Donations over a long period of time.

Purple hatch is gorgeous... ClubFR Drift Day 13

yeah they got nice tracks over there. a dude i know from the miata forums is part of ClubFR and tears it up in a black N/B miata there with those same guys..( aeroK posted a pic of his miata in the 2nd part of their las vagas trip thread).

they have access to that track whenever they want.....talk about living the dream huh?

Yeah I believe his name is Rob. I love his Miata. One of the sexiest NB's Ive ever laid my eyes on. Damn I bet we could actually have a track like that if the right people were interested. Man, no wonder in all there videos the drivers are either Average or really Good.

if we had tracks like that i wouldn't hate florida either

I guess if your referring to drifting tracks. Although, there is so much that can be done on the street that has not even been thought about. Im not tired of florida yet.

Plus, I have not seen anyone drive the road course like Harri, so we all should be striving to drive better at moroso. If you think you did good, do better.

Well, considering that you only get to drive the road course once every 2 months. (Ter-Tech Events). You cant expect people to be great on it.

If we had a track like the one in the video and had access to it when ever we liked. Then you would see the progression of Sfl drivers at a faster rate. Much like club FR.

i dont want to sound cocky, but i think i did just fine at moroso, i had a opportunity to tandem with harri, and that was probably the most fun ive had in drifting.

if u never saw my runs, heres a vid from the qualifier.
YouTube - moroso drift qualifier team aero k sept 2nd

i love moroso's road course, dont get me wrong, Moroso is pretty much my only favorite track here in Florida. its just the track we just saw in the video is more technical and longer, like tracks in japan.

I dont have to tell you how to drive. Just keep it in mind that there is always someone better, and if you dont work on the small minimal mistakes and adjustments you wont get better. One thing everyone should strive to be is faster.

blah blah blah if we had access to this track more often then every 2 months

IMO, because we do not have access to a track to practice on every day that dose not mean that we should have to wait every 2 months to practice. Im sure you know of some spots that you would like to drift, but dont have the power or its too fast or there are too many dangers. Build the experience, gain the confidence and do it. What you learn on the street transfers to the track a whole hell of a lot easier then vice versa. Every time I see a new course layout, the people who generally drive on tracks have a harder time adapting to something new. They are accustom to their traditional layout and it takes a few runs to adapt. On the other hand someone who traditionally drives on the street which is an ever changing course makes the adaptation alot easier with a different style. (which is easy to see)

^^ Thats great, now what does that have to do with the fact that if we had that track and full access to it. We would see much more progress at a faster rate in Florida?

You stated how you've yet to see anyone drive the Road Course better then Harri. Obviously, Harri has driven in more diverse tracks then any of us have. Street Drifting is great and I agree that theres always obstacles and something new. However the links, turns, and downhill/uphill transitions on that track are much more challenging/rewarding to drive on then the street, IMO.

Btw, I think Shant killed that Road Course. Beautiful angle and entry. :bigthumbu

Considering I have never heard of you drifting, have never seen proof or have seen you at an event, I am assuming you dont have much practice time; thus the reason why you would not find the street rewarding. Sure professionals cant drive on the street because they have dedicated race cars with 3rd party investors, and all the legal crap. For an aspiring driver who owns a personal car and dose not have access to a track should be safe cautious and take advantage of the streets. I understand this is turning into a streets vs track discussion and we each have our own opinion and knowledge of what the streets have to offer. So to close all of this up, to each his own.

Btw, I have multiple areas in broward that have elevation changes interconnecting several corners.

Damn thats nice...anybody know the name of that song?
Im filming my buddies skate downtown, and I wanted to mix that song on there..

I never said the streets are not rewarding. Ive learned everything I know on the streets. What I DID SAY is, It is much more rewarding for someone to practice on a track like that. Not to mention being able to just concentrate on your driving instead of worrying about Cops, People, Curbs..etc.

Thanks for the assumption on my experience. Why don't you come out to Triangle tonight and teach me how to drive oh great one? Ill be there from 11:30 - 1:00am please come I really can use the help since I'm not an "aspiring driver who owns a personal car".

Btw, the only one turning this into a Street vs Track discussion is YOU. No one even compared this track to the street until you brought up the whole... "you can be just as good on the streets blah blah..." :boring:

I tried doing a lyrics search and came up with a bunch of Cristian stuff. Maybe you'll have better luck then I do. :(

Let me know the name and artist if you find it! :bigthumbu

We should all teach eachother how to drive. Then we'll form like some crazy drift Voltron and drift.

Both sides have correct views. Personally for us guys who grew up on the street there is nothing else like it. While speaking to a member whos name will be left unsaid... He brought up the point that the speed @ moroso that the usual sfl members carry is inadequate. Its not always about smoke and mirrors. Its Speed Line & Angle. Id say in that order. Personally i do not give a fuck about how many degrees of more angle you have than me. Point is if by the end of the track your 2 turns back cause im sliding @ 70mph and your sliding @ 50mph then my job is done. Also LINE. I could sit here and talk for hours on this subject but i would say 75% of sfld does not hold true to the racing line. They do w.e. is jdm or w.e. fits their driving style. Not understanding that the proper line will lead you to the fastest possible drift with the best angle and the most room for error, but hey what do i know?

You must know everything. No need to nitpick every driver you see. You dont know whats going on in every single car everytime. you dont know every handicap each car has, or driver experience.

Of an entire day.........I feel like only about 3 of my runs do I really drive to my full potential, mostly cause of stupid mistakes on my own part. or driving conditions (track, and chassis).

nice vid.. quick question anyone see the end of the video where the red hatch spins and the purple is right behind it.. i wonder if they wrecked =?
