check engine light again!!!!

ok i unpluged the O2 sensor and the light remained on (obviously) but the car ran just fine.. im gonna re connect it now. let me find a rag so i dont burn my hands when i rub on the heat shield
 
brah i cant find mine its somewhere in the hell mess of my garage.. but if your shit is new it might have warranty i would try to get a new one just incase
 
dam now i have to do that little DIY thing to read the ECU. lets hope nothing goes wrong cuz im fucked if something does
 
Did that once with the S12 running without a 02 sensor, you run richer and you waste more gas, you won't notice at first but it will. why don't you just pull codes and find out whats really wrong with it? :confused: Did you check all the grounds? it could be a loose ground from the sensor light thingy :/

Hey i have a 02 sensor from the S12 band new never used need it?

i have 1 at my dads friends shop, but you might be able to use one at advanced ... i would take a ride there and use it right there if anything
 
well off i go to read my ECU. wish me luck ppl and hope that i dont pwn myself
 
Go ahead and test the ECU for codes. It is easy to point your finger at the exhaust system since the CEL turned on after you put it on, but the code may have nothing to do with your exhaust. I am not saying it is not related to the exhaust, but diagnosing the code will allow you to know what is really up with your car, instead of guessing what it is, especially since your car has no symptoms of having any kind of trouble. Diagnose the code and go on from there.
 
update! i checked the ECU myself and it looks like i got a code 32. also when i saw the red LED flash. i noticed the check engine light blink a few times as well

anyone know what an EGR function is?
