Yep, for sure.

I shot with a 55-200 f4-5.6.
Sucks.
I'm going to upgrade at the end of the year, I'm just not too sure what I should go for next.

get a sigma 24-70 2.8
and a sigma 70-200 2.8

you will be so happy, and the sex life will get better.

i have to say this...

thank you for being an awesome "drifter wife" and taking photos at these events. When my wife goes to events she is always trying to video tape everyone, even the guys not doing good just so they can have something of themselves you know! i think its cool. Pat you got a good chic dude!

Damn right. She does what she's told and keeps her damn mouth shut.

She is pretty dang awesome though. Puts of with most of my shot at events. Haha.

haha yeah, I was looking into some sigma lenses.
I've always wanted nikon everything, but the nikon 70-200 2.8 is almost 2 grand.
I found some sigma 70-200's for around 700 bucks on amazon.
Not bad.

new lenses help but night events period suck for shooting. Even FD atlanta with all that lighting they do is ho-hum unless you have some really nice camera.

I did get a few nice podium shots though.

sticking with Nikon is rough on the wallet...
