Central Florida Road Course is approved as an education and testing track for cars and karts. We're seeking approval for racing and other forms of car events. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT NOW!!!
WE KNOW THERE WILL BE OPPOSITION AND PEOPLE WILL TRY TO BLOCK US!!!
DON'T LET THEM STAND IN OUR WAY TO HAVE A PLACE TO ENJOY OUR CARS!!!

ONE of TWO things:
1. Email zoning@ocfl.net and tell them you're IN FAVOR of Central Florida Road Course, OR

2. Call (407) 836-3111 and tell them you're IN FAVOR of Central Florida Road Course.

Do it today!!! Has to be done before THURSDAY!!!!

Thanks for your help!!!

no idea, thats the email I got, there was also an attachment I could fill out and fax, or just email and say i am in favor... I took the attachment option out since I cannot host the file/email it to everyone and who faxes shit, email from mass people should be best. feel free to post it on other forums if I haven't

The people at the listed # have no idea of what's going on. I got the girl on the phone looking up more info for me.

They say no one at the office has any idea of what's going on.

lmao awesome

per the track: use the email, its better than the phone

they won't care, there is a Hearing and they gonna pull ALL the land owners in the area to bitch about it, so put up how its a safe place and you think its a good idea and anythin, more emails pour in the better. Dont spam it with fake names/emails, but any real person, go for it.

every person in this forum should e-mail them and call also. Mine is send write about how if the young adults dont have a legal place to practise they will take it to the streets and nobody needs or wants that and it is these kinds of places/tracks that keep the streets safe etc.................

There is no way there is a house that close! Look at moroso, even countyline. I live literally 2 minutes away from countyline. I hear more cars passing on 27 at night then any noise from countyline.

Here's a simple letter anyone can send to make this super easy:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to voice my support for racing use of the central Florida Road Course. I think it is an excellent idea for the central Orlando area to have a race facility open to the public for sanctioned racing events which will also help reduce the amount of illegal street racing.

As has been witnessed in the last 20years, shutting down legal venues for motorsport only increases unsafe driving practices on our public streets and endangers people lives.

Best regards,

Emailed..... also include that it will create jobs in this economy, not just at the track, but with marketing and tourism. They eat that shit up!!!!! lol

Copy of the email sent:

To Whom This May Concern,

This email is being sent to you in regards to the new race track, the Central Florida Road Course, which is being built. I would like to inform you that I am highly in favor of this track being built, for many reasons. First, anyone who actually is in the progress of building a new facility should be commended. With such tough times, jobs are scarce and multiple businesses have closed. This facility will not only provide a source of income and create jobs, but it will also allow for other business to market themselves to a fresh crowd of people, therefore increasing their business and create more jobs at their facilities. Additionally, this facility will increase the travel to this area, therefore boosting the economy due to tourism. Another is the obvious reason; it will allow people who chose racing as a past time to have a safe and legal setting to race. With all the deaths caused by street racing, more facilities like this are needed around the world. I have lost many people close to me to car accidents caused by street racing, and wish that this facility was around previously to help in the prevention of street racing. Not only do I believe that this track should be allowed to hold racing and other events, but they should be thanked for providing such a great place to entertain, prevent deaths, and assisting the economy. I look forward to the opening of this facility and would like to thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Mr. Jason S. Zarzecki

someone had this to say in Floridadrift.com forums in the similar post I made there:

UPDATE:

Today was succesful at the Orange County zoning hearing. The track got the variance that they wanted to continue doing track event, racing, etc. The zoning department said they got over 400 emails.

Something I thought was funny. One of the biggest concern is the noise levels. Originally the owner was asking for permission to stay open 10pm. Believe it or not, the Orange County Sheriffs Office was actually there and asked that the track be able to stay open to 2am. Their reasoning was to give street racers an outlet (I am not lying about this). Pretty awesome.

So as it is, their permit allows the track to stay open till 1am

This was a good day for the Central Florida motorsport community. //

WE WIN!!! -unconfirmed by the track. but seems like DuckyD was there!
