sometimes when i shift gears i hear a pop sound in the back of the car would any of you know what it is?

My car does that. Subframe bushings/diff bushings. more of a clunk....or could be backfire?

Mine got better when I put in some subframe spacers, but since I need new diff bushings too I still get that clunk.

I think you got the wrong car if you car about noises. If you like the body style of the s14 you should consider the SC300/400. Most ppl confuse the
S14 and the Lex all the time.
