Car Accident :(

I went with my friend Melissa, to the Winn Dixie by my house (16th ave and 49th street).

I'm in the parking lot, there's a blue pick up in front of me trying to park, and directly to my left in a stall is a white toyota Corolla. Melissa goes "be careful she's trying to back out".
"Impossible guy, I'm right behind her".

She tries backing out at an angle, and rams into the side of my car. I get out, and it's some 73 year old woman. She didn't even know she hit my car, she was confused as to why I'm knocking on her window telling her to get out of the car. She gets out, and I tell her that she hit my car. All you have to do, is look at her white car, see my black paint on it, and the HUGE dent on my car. Very self explanatory.

I called the cops, 20 mns later he shows up. He comes out of the car, and she runs to him "this young girl here says I hit her car but that's impossible".
He looks at me. Looks at her car, sees that she obviously tried reversing at an angle and hit my car. He point to where my paints on her car "well then what's that?!"
He turns to me, and asks me what do I want to do now. I say "the steps necesarry for her insurance to pay for my cars damage".
...

Cut to her getting a $133 ticket, and both of us getting a police report. I have to call her insurance tomorrow so an agent can come look at my car and give me an estimate.

This ruined my night :(

Reply with your accident stories, make me feel better lol.

sux...sorry to hear it. hope it wont stop you form making the party tomorrow night!

if it makes you feel any better...

i was with my ex one morning leaving her driveway for work in her truck, and a white dodge work van was parked behind us. she didnt see him cause she was busy bitching about stupid shit like always, and backed right into the dudes back door. she freaked, and ran out almost crying. she ended up denting the guys sliding door in so far it wouldn't even budge. the guy was cool though, and was not upset at all. the cop showed up eventually, and didnt give anyone a ticket due to the fact that the guy was parked in the street, and that she should have been more carefull. I felt bad for the guy though, cause he left w/ a busted door, and her with a VERRRRRRYYYY small dent on her F150's bumper

I back into someone before and also been back into much like you. Recently I was in a head on collision traveling 55mph, I woke up in the hospital not knowing anything, I still dont know what happened, the person at fault had no insurance so I am stuck with a HUMONGOUS hospital bill and lots of other problems.

So it could be worse. Dont sweat it, It will all work out in the end.

(Edit) as a result of the accident I had to sell my first rx7

aw im soo sorry. Good luck sweety!

My accident story is horriable..
My roomate had my car one day, suppose to bring it straight from my house, to the dorms where I was at, a 10 min drive.. She decided to bring a friend home, about 30 mins away..
A TOW TRUCK backed into my car, let alone my roomate, as crazy as she is, was wearing nothing less of just a towel, while driving??! But besides that. My other roomate in the car, got pictures.. If I find them, Ill post em up.
So of course I wasnt there, they come back to the dorms... Im waking up, to "Meghan we kinda got in an accident" I ran out to seem my whole front end.. smashed in, and my radiator was cracked, and everything was busted and dented.. I cried bad.
the guy gave a false number to the towing company finds out the tow truck company had no insurance.. (it was a tow truck from miami dade) and the guy owes me tons of money still, and this was almost a year ago... and last time I heard from the guy, he said "take it to court then" and bullsh*t. My insurance was looking for him, and trying to get money.. and Im still at a hold of where its all at. I still need help? Do I go to small claims court what do I do. I dont know.

Damn, that sucks... heres a classic "he's young it has to be his fault" story....

the year is 2002, have had my first car for little over a year. I am on my way to college at 6ish in Jan (the sun is bearly coming out) I am stopped at the red light of w8th ave and 60th st. the light turns green, I accelerate, some dumb bitch going atleast 50 (in a 30MPH zone) take the red light.

I drive right into her front tire.

long story short, the cops come. see that there is no way to prove who took the light and issues no ticket.

fast forward a month. I get a letter from a lawyer saying the dumb bitch that was jumping around in the scene of the accident is suing me for injuries. about a month later my lawyer talls me the sue was dismissed.

if that didn't work. remember my truck. over $6,000 in damage and I have the ticket.

Oh I forgot about the time I smacked up my mint 1956 Buick century, that bad boy was gangsta I tell yea!!!! It wasnt my fault but I got the ticket anyway. ancient history now.

+1 the leaving the dadeland mall parking lot i was stuck waiting for the cars in front of me to move when i see reverse lights turn on to my right, this old bitch in a camry just starts backing out right where my car is!! i honk once, she stops, looks around like shes imagining shit then starts backing out again!!! i cant move because of the cars in front of me so i start trying to go into reverse while im blaring my horn. She finally sees my freaking red integra (how do you not see a red car behind you?!!?) and stops a few inches from my pass. door. I almost wanted her to hit my car so i could finally have my insurance buy me something lol

Yea as soon as rain hits cars here in Hialeah, it's like some weird mind erasing mechanism is deployed in people's brains. Everyone forgets how to mofuckin' drive >_<
