cam angle sensor??

sup ppl.... I have a sr20det bone stock with a fmic and i was messing with the cam angle sensor. Now when i bring the sensor down the car runs harder but sputters a little and when i bring the sensor up the sputtering goes away but then it rund piggish....... Is it bad to angle ur cam angle sensor all the way to its mamximum point????? plz help

Yeah seriously. All you're doing is retarding or advancing your timing which is why it'll run "harder" or sputter.

well i tried to get my friend to fix the sputtering problem cuz even when I would hold it at absteady rpm it would sputter and the break up..... So he loosened it and moved it and it stoped sputtering but the car drove so piggish thati didnt feel like i was in a sr so when I fully advanced it  you know what happend

So it was sputtering before you touched the timing? Did you check into your injectors first?

if its not running right, find out whats wrong first then fix it, dont go around messing with what you think it is. if its stock power levels i'd bet there wasnt much harm done by advancing it all the way as long as your not on it for long periods of time, but thats not to be confused with it being a good thing at all. get a timing light and readjust it then diagnose the problem correctly.

ooohhh noeeeeeeee your going to blow your motor!!

:banhim:dude this is the second time i've seen u do this. Ur a fucking loser. If u have absolutely nothing to contribute to this mans thread, DON'T FUCKING POST AND STFU! U did the same shit in my thread. :banhim:

He's right in this case. Keep fucking w/ timing on an already sputtering car and depending on psi, the mix could lead to melted piston rings or other damage.

it sill sputters but nothing seirious only in idle and when i hold a steady rev but even then its just aslight sputter every now and then .. plus the car is running way harder just took off the exhaust and left the stock down pipe.... sounds awesome:bigthumbu

question is why are you running the car hard and looking for max power when you dont even know if your timing is set right? considering your car hasnt blown up yet your probably close to the correct timing but what your doing sounds like what a ricer would do. get it fixed then you can run hard all day long without worry.
