Why would a shop that is constantly doing sr swaps rather go with a ka-t on there formula d car? Are you sure there always having problems with it? Doesnt add up. :ugh:

The Ka IS a reliable motor. havent u noticed how many 240s would be at hialeah pounding on there ka's all day long? The Ka-t on the other hand can be a reliable motor. Weve been over this already... tunning/timing/build....

Um, XAT never planned on the Bandit as being a formula-D car - you need to stop talking about things you know nothing about. Their shop owner built that car as his personal rig and when they sponsored bill and he crashed his car in Cali, their only option was to use the bandit. I happen to know the tuner/engine builder at XAT and he's built plenty of KA's and SR's (not to mention CA's and RB's) and believe it or not, he likes the SR better.

Another thing is... because i went to an event to spectate and chose not to drift at hialeah aka "walls r us" doesnt mean that i dont know what drifting is about. Do you think that because i dont drift at an event that ive never gone drifting anywhere else?

Btw, Just because you crash your car doesnt mean your good. it actually means your doing something wrong. Yes you do learn something from it (hopefully) but it doesnt mean your better then anyone because you have crashed in the past.

Most of the peoplpe who crashed in hialeah shouldnt have been trying to do things that were out of there league.. Obviously there skill wasnt up to par with what they were "attempting".

That you're not a poser - OK fine, you have mad street drift skills and will one day come out and pwn us all w/ your kat power...when your ready...one day /discussion?

Umm... What kind of answer are you looking for? I thought all along that was a retorical question so yeah... My name is Tony Menendez. i drive an s13 and live in Miami Lakes. I used to live in Hialeah. I went to EVERY event in hialeah and supported.

Reason for not Participating in an event at the time was financial. My car was in no shape for an event. I bought the car with a blown tranny + motor (good price). So i threw a fresh Ka in there and a new tranny etc... The money that was coming in was needed for other stuff(personal). So the car remained Stock for a long time and once i replaced some bushings i started sliding it on the streets.

So its been a long process but i finally have the dough to dish out on my car. Ive been building it for a while now. Believe me im not here to try and say im the best or anything. If i come out that way then disreguard that... I just like to get under peoples skin sometimes. Also sometimes people give out Missinformation so i give my .02 when i can.

I also like long walks on the beach... :laugh:

yea i rode in the car at one of the DDAY events and talked with the guy who put it together. motor has everything done to it, nothing was spared when it came to that set up. yay for drifting with 380 whp lol, i believe the same guy built the SR'd miata.

the point is, if the motor is already built, it would take time and money to build a new motor to put into the car. (to answer your question about why dont they put in an almighty sr) and d1gp and formula d or 2 totally different things. half the cars in formula d are not built.

and running an opinion off oh, if the Bandit is KA-T then my KA-T will be just as reliable is a stupid argument because there is no way your motor would ever have the amount of work done to it as the bandit... EVER. and that setup probably cost 3x the amount if you woulda just built an SR. and you woulda been pushing more power too I bet.

but on a side note i dont understand what is wrong with the people on this forum. everytime a KA-T vs SR thread escalades someone always says "well i bet the SR/KA-T would make more power...". who the fuck cares!! this is a drifting forum you dont need 1000 hp to drift, jesus you dont need 200. so whas the point in bringing up power and realiability? either way on a built motor in ANY car if you beat on it, it is going to break. if you wanna talk about power to southfloridaracing.com and bench race like 90% of the people overthere do... otherwise if you want to drift go talk to POLE_POSITION and hit his track. END!

^^ Im not running under the circumstances of "If bandit can do it then so can i". I just mentioned the Bandit because you had made a stupid remark about scared ka-t drivers.
