Boost controller issue?

It ran good except for the fact that I was running open boost even though I had a boost controller on the car. We tried two seperate boost controllers, one manual and a greddy profec 2 series. I have a 38mm wastegate with a 6.5 spring, but with the boost controller installed at no boost on manual, and no boost on electronic, I was running open boost, just straight up no boost control. At points we were spiking 20-25lbs of boost.

I want to know whats going on? I can provide pics and info but the shop that installed my kit are specialized in more honda-tech. I just don't think it's a coincidence that two separate boost controllers are "messed" up. At the moment I'm running off of my wastegate.

Manual boost controllers only use one line on your wastegate the side port should be the only one hooked up the top one shoud be open you only use that if your running a eletric controller

Another thing you mightnot be getting boost is if you have to many t in the vaccum line you might need a vacum block

One to the boost contoler then off the controller should go
to the turbo and one to the wastegate
 
I tried what you said.. No one can figure this shit out.. took it to two shops and wasted atleast $10 in gas from doing pulls lol.
 
what waste gate are you using? does it do it with no boost controller hooked up? Is the boost controller hooked to the right port? where are you getting the signal from? where are you located?

First, it should hook up like this:

Second, if it is hooked up right, check for leaks. Then check again. And a third time. After that, ask yourself what springs were installed in your wastegate? Was your wastegate even assembled correctly?

thats a good reference picture
it seems like there is a lot of confusion on how to correctly install a boost controller
