but on the fwd thing ...very tru .... back in '82 .... i used to race one of em beemer m1's down at hialeah speedway......if that wasnt fwd....idk wut is..

I'm putting about 350hp at the wheels with $3,000 in HP mods (100% stock 328 engine, just boosted).

You will need about $250 in bushings to make the car more controllable unless your car has less than 60,000miles. Decent suspension can be had for $700, but I would recommend something adjustable. Most important is to make the car understeer less so you don't have to overdrive. aka put a big rear sway bar

My next car for sure. Mine will have to have some american muscle pushing it though, on another note I have access to a 99 528 that has no title runs smooth completely clean car but its auto and the title thing. I think we are going to slide it a bit, I think it might be my lsJuan candidate, its kinda big though?

yeah a E39 with an LS would be sweet. M5 diff and coilovers you'd be set
