anyone interested in trying bike carbs on their car? i have tools and im good with tunning bike carbs, it would be just like itbs without injectors and an aftermarket ecu. and im sooo curious to see it in action

thank you... in fact alot of old rally cars like mk2 escorts did it... id like to try like 99 r1 carbs on a b6, bp, ka, any honda motor,sr de, whatever

it totally could work but would be more of a pain in the ass then it would be worth. Fuel injection is so much easier to tune and much more even across cylinders. Carbs constantly need tuned as diaphrams wear, climates, and altitude. Imo it would be a total waste of time when people like enthalpy and so on can do your computer tuning for such an affordable price.

Now fuel injected itbs can make some awesomness happen especially on boost instant throttle response.

no, the carbs arent as good as itbs. but how much difference is there in a 2000 r1 and a 2003 r1? few hp? i can tune a set of carbs dont worry about that but i can up my fuel with 6$ jets which is alot cheaper than injectors and there is no need for an aftermarket ecu or any sensors in the intake and exaust because the fuel flows off the veturi principle. it think it could be a clean little set up with a couple less hp than itbs and less than half the cost

More power to you i am a carb hater. I have no doubt it can be done easily, i just hate carbuarater ( i know i cant spell)

After you put the carbs on, then what? You still have a no hp n/a car.

its no boosted powerhouse but will make more power than a stock intake set up, sound like itbs, have better throttle response, and can be easily tuned to accomodate n/a builds for 6$ instead of buying a standalone injectors and paying for the tune. just the 150$ carbs and a fuel pressure regulator

btw i had to google carburetor to spell it right when i started thinking about this the other day

dosnt seem like a great idea but go for it. good luck on getting them tuned right. Post some dyno sheets if you do it
