Considering I was listening to Nile in highschool, and that was like a decade ago, Nile is not new wave or NU by any means. I saw them live on the Catacombs of Nephran Ka tour and I even interviewed the singer for an metal ezine I used to write back in the day.

Btw, Fucking AT THE GATES! If you have never listened to this old band, pick up or download Slaughter of the Soul. It is one of the greatest death metal cds ever made bar none, no ands ifs or butts about it.

One band from the states I just got into is My Bitter End, just got their latest album about a week ago and I can't stop listening to them. They are a very melodic grindcore band, and the drummer's double kicks sound like a crazy old typewriter. Anyone else heard/like them?

I really enjoyed Ill Nino in high school. I had there first album, then they came out with that Freddie Vs Jason album and I stopped listening to them. I don't really like how the band plays(generic Nu Metel) but the lead singer is very melodic.
